	Immigrant Appreciation Thread Support Apolyton or Terrorists Win

Lately (like the pass 3 years) there has been a lot more attacks on immigration law as well as a lot of outrage against illegal immigration. This is nothing new for California who faces a burden of greater proportions than most states do, apart from Texas and Arizona probably. However, I do feel that immigration is a good thing and should not be stopped or hindered, but merely controlled. As proof to this I starting this thread to list immigrants who have given much, over the pass 100 years or so, to make this country great (please add more as I am merely just pulling these off the top of my head):

Albert Einstein - supergenius

Edward Teller - mathematician and theoretical physicist, considered the father of the H-Bomb.

Enrico Fermi - developed the A-Bomb

Emilio Serge - worked with Fermi

Ceasar Chavez - Labor Union Leader

Arnold Schwarzenegger - Actor and Governor (hehe)

The attacks and outrage may not necessarily be expressed on this board. However, if you bother to live outside of Poly and even the internet you will see and feel this Xenophobia in many countries.

In any case, it was probably good for the US that we got Teller, and Oppenheimer, rather than somebody else getting them.

I mean you could make the case that immigration is terrible, cause of how its added to the wealth and power of the USA, evil global hegemon. Dont think thats what the 'anti immigrant" folks have in mind though.
