I think shield stockpiling shouldn't be allowed.
Spy stockpiling is OK since they are less powerful.

If spies became able to take down shields, then unlimited stockpiles of both would be fine IMHO. Or perhaps it'd take 2 spies to remove the sheild.

I also think that next game we should have combat 1.3 where casualties are removed immediatly as damage is inflicted. The first casulaties would be the type of ship placed at the end of the OOB, moving forward. More realistic methinks.

Round 15 opened with every single Overlord issuing an attack order. All except GeoModder sent a spy to their enemies as well to prevent retaliation. In the ensuing confusion, only General Tacticus managed to mobilise his fleet and steam towards Spaced Cowboy's entire defence force. Upon discovering his ally would not be joining him due to "technical difficulties", GT was heard to say "The hell with it. Victory or death!" and ordered his fleet to engage.

Actually you did the math wrong(lasers are 2X against fighters and the close in/back off cancel), but it does not matter since, I thought that fighters beat lasers (AKA puff, puff, should have been torps, TTFFLL)...I should have referenced the rules this morning, but was too lazy. I figured on getting pounded by lasers...but did not know from whom.

Oh wait, you have me still in this...NOT GT took me down fair and simple.

Sorry, that was a hell of an oversight. I calculated lasers as just being backed off (one back off, one fleet on default) so all laser damage was halved. The difference is that General Tacticus now has consumed Spaced's entire empire and has become target #1 for the remaining players.

It is GeneralTacticus' military presence that "swayed" those bases to his side. Mostly by killing anyone who didn't like his authority - the bastard. So if he choses to donate half the spoils to you, fine. If he doesn't, well, fine too. Its up to him.

well of course i saw the FG in the title, and had to open it to thank and congratulate the thread poster. Rewarding good behavior is an INVESTMENT in improving the forum.
