I don't think for a moment that console games are made for little kids. Back in the day it was true, but the gamers with the big bucks are older now, and able to handle more advanced and mature games. And if anything is amatuerish, it's PC games, where anybody with a computer and a C compiler can crap out a piece of ****. Consoles since the NES have had standards to weed out the worst of the worst.
I would agree though that PCs have more functionality. but I've grown tired of buying new computers and upgrading for hundreds and even thousands of dollars. Once you have your base functionality, your gaming dollars are probably better spent on consoles.
Consoles are more stable, effectively immune to viruses, have fewer headaches with multiplaying, all for less than a comparable PC. While they're not for everybody, I'd say that they do deserve a look, especially if you haven't looked at the latest generation.
But to each their own. I'm sorry if I seem overly harsh Diss, I just get annoyed by some of the attitudes I see. I was a hater on consoles for a while, but the X-box really changed my views on them. And you're right, any good idea is likely to end up on the PC in the end.

I'll make this easy. Games I like to play are:
civ3, smac, Neverwinter Nights, Baldur's Gate/Infinity games.
Are any of these games on console? No.
Games I may possibly play in the future. World of Warcraft, Everquest 2. Are they on console?
the only games that have been on X-box I would play are Morrowind (which I grew bored of) and KOTOR. But I have already played the PC versions.
