Boshko et al have until tommorrow morning to send in orders, or I'll post the turn without them. This is getting annoyingly common; maybe there should be a concerted effort to eliminate a few players, to reduce the number of orders I need.

Round 3: Culling the Herd

General warfare continued without a break this round, with the only new factor being diplomatic: Overlords Jamski and Skanky Burns, both descendants of ancient, proud families, had chosen to make an alliance. How well it will stand the test of time remains to be seen, but it has already achieved its first victory – and it’s first defeat.

Before the fleets of the alliance arrived at their respective targets, however, another strike was launched. Overlord Spaced Cowboy, the target of Skanky Burns’ limited strike, sent a single cruiser loaded with fighters to seize the systems of Overlord Chaunk. With neither a defensive fleet nor a strategy, the occupation went uncontested, and Spaced added another three bases to his empire.

Meanwhile, across the galaxy, a similar scene played out near the bases owned by Overlord Boshko, the famed squirrel-breeder. Though he had a more consistent record of activity, a communications failure at his HQ prevented any plans from being transmitted, and his fleets collapsed in confusion before the fleets of Overlord Jamski. The ships were rapidly destroyed, and troops from houses Jamski and Burns rapidly occupied all key locations on the planet.

Things did not go so easily for Skanky’s ships, however, for their opponent was well-armed and had an actual defensive plan.
