Wow what a map! Brilliant job.
It looks like they still have plenty of land to expand on ... I don't think we've seen the last spurt-growth from Morgan.

Well - in all fairness, the top right hand quadrant is a bit speculative (as we haven't explored that coastline), and I've placed Paramiria somewhat arbitrarily as all I had to go on was the northern coast - it didn't overlap with anywhere else
And I have to update the map some more - I see I haven't yet placed Argi Narnia (it's on that sensor NE of Morgan Mussels, which itself is now just 1 pop)

Is he still a soft juicy target?
You be the judge: (They've beefed up defenders in bases facing us!!!)

But why not use probe foils for those reasons? The drone problems are very troublesome ... Oh well.
And remember, anyone who has infiltrated the UoP will be seeing some of our military units readying to strike. Let's hope we strike some terror into their hearts!

If they get a Worm out of the pod, they can't kill it with a Probe Foil. I guess that could be a reason. Another one could be the beginning of a defensive fleet. Morgan has cash, so they could be building weaker units, to upgrade them later, thus making it faster. I find it weird too. If I were them, I'd do a Transport Foil, hunting for Artifacts. Oh well, it can't hurt us if they build useless things.
I think we are already making people shiver, not only with the invasion, bu by our general standing. Luckily, they aren't terrified enough to combine against us, yet. [EDIT: Removed thoughts about Spartan strategy. Moved here.]

Interesting to see how paranoid Morgan has become re getting infiltrated by the Angels/Gaians "doing a Sparta"
He's doubled his basic probe defenders in his Eastern and Western seaboard bases - just left his northern 2 with one apiece

Here's their pre-war builds and their during-war builds
Looks like they popped a couple of pods (insta speeder crawler and also a gator boat rushed for 8 turns)
But it doesn't look l;ike much of a war footing to me

It looks like they will not be a threat to us militarily, they certainly have nothing to attack us with. I guess they just decided that having a strategic cooperation with us was no longer desirable. They must also have thought (silly people!) that an attack was imminent and probably just took the opportunity to seize the initiative...

I guess it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure that there's a high possibility we might. We are a military faction, with a large standing army, and they are our biggest competitor.
Also, we weren't being extremely friendly, what with the whole probe thing and the Modo doctrine.

That's a possibility, yes. A stupid move for them, but hey - they are greedy people, as we know.

I'm sure that they think we have our work cut out for us with the Arcadia Invasion, and thus will be powerless to react - or at least, give them a few turns to beef up defences. (They'd get a surprise when they read the Phalanx and saw how readily Zak surrendered!!) |
I don't think so. The recent movements on their borders show they considered us a threat, even before Zak surrendered. My guess is, they might a bit stunned by the quick end to that war, but not completely surprised. I guess we'll know much better next turn.

Little do they know of the steely determination of the Spartan Federation - we are poised like a cobra, to strike in any direction!! |
I concur.
