Turn forwarded, but...
There's quite an explanation needed for this turn I'm afraid.
You'll see a number of reload warnings, and those are for the following reason:
I opened the turn, and started an action I already planned on for a few turns. Something Barinthus can confirm if necessary. The result of this action ('t was a fifty/fifty chance) failed on me, and I was mad enough on that to just quit the game like that.
I reopened, in order to redo and accept the result, but this time I succeeded. Another try gave a native popup at opening which gave me a huge amount of energy again... Enfin, that's why you see those reloads when opening, it took several tries before I had the conditions straight and I lost.
I know that this will look suspicious, for later in the turn I felt the need to start hostilities due to infiltrator information. So, this is the turn. But if you guys feel that it's too iffy, I'll just redo it with a fresh one, or even accept being banned from this game.
This said, an announcement is in order:
*************************************************
Lucky Autumn, MY 2221.0505
The festivities for the newest acquistion of the Kingdom were
in full progress. Lady Deirdre Skye and Queen Gwynn Elevea had
agreed that for efficiency reasons it was best that some base
exchanging was in order, and two bases were exchanged as
a trial before the tougher nut of Gaia's Landing was discussed.
The former Gaian citizens seemed quite content with this change,
and celebrated fully with the immigrated Atlanteans when
suddenly the alarms started wailing. The garrison commander
went to his HQ for information, went completely white and ran
to the base Governor.
Once at him he said: Sir, an invasion force consisting of multiple
marine companies and escorted by a drop company and probably
some special agents are discovered in the fungal woods around
the base. They are prepared for an attack.
The Governor went white himself and shouted: Quick,
don't just stand there, call the RAF, obliterate them...
and so this happened quite efficiently. After the massacre the
identity of the invading force was established, and upon
confirmation the Government ordered a full assault with all
available naval and air forces. In the end of that year the
Atlantean forces had token several bases and bombed several
more into virtual surrender.
At that time Queen Elevea came upfront again, and tried to start
negotiations between the Kingdom and the enemy... she thought
he may be more willing to listen to the Kingdom now that it had
shown it's fist...

Don't tell me you weren't warned enough not to persue this.
Several times I asked not to invade the Gaian faction. The more so for this faction didn't start hostilities in the first place, and wasn't a threat to anyone while at the same time being a nice buffer between our two factions. It costed me enough interfering in this. 't Would have been easily enough just to sit this out for 10 more turns so Rubin could Transcend and get this game over with, but no, you choose to continue this vendetta while no real need for that existed. I realize fully that Rubin can take me out in a few turns, but that could have happened anyway and better so from him alone then with your assistance.
Remember that, when freeing Deirdre, it could had as easily taken Organic Lubricants from you instead with much less risk, and still have no war with you. Logically seen it would have been a better choice, it would have given me the technological leap to choose another research path and have some chance against Rubins' tech leaps.
So, can I take it that you're not interested in peace talks? Guess not, with Rubin advancing on Barinthus' continent...

The conflict brewing among three factions on the same landmass Data Angels call their home fills its government and people with the feeling of uneasiness. Seeing that they are exhausted from the long war against the Human Hive, the Angels prefer to remain netural. However they will be guarded and maintain diligent observance of this conflict.
Any conflicts that should arise within Angels' terrority will not be tolerated, be forewarned.

2223 to the Data Angels
===========================================
Loyal Citizens continue to fight against the invaders, and rig their homes for defense.
Nothing but silence from the Pirate Government; Could Captain Sankis be considering the Atlantean proposal?

The Royal Palace, New Atlantis - MY 2223.1705
What!! shouted Queen Elevea. How do you mean, 'accidently'?
How can a missile be fired accidently!! she demanded.
Your majesty... stottered the general. It was an automated
response on the sneak attack of... he managed to continue
before the Queen stopped him short with a chop of her hand.
How many casualties? she demanded. I may hope that HQ's
'military mind' at least thought of aiming for military or core
economic locations?
The general looked embarrassed and said: Well yes, your
majesty, the autolock on University hostilities was aimed at
the Energy park right on top of Mt. Rubin, but the shockwave's
effect was more severe then estimated... he trailed off under
the Queens' unbelieving gaze.
How many casualties, general? she repeated softly.
The general answered embarassed. Three bases were wiped
out in the blast, your majesty. We estimate about half a million
civilians went with it and... he stopped, for suddenly the
Queen sagged back in her chair.
Get out... she whispered. Just get out of here.
An hour later...
The Queen opened a comlink, and started to speak in it.
This is Queen Gwynn Elevea of the Atlantean Kingdom,
hailing Dr. Rubin of the University.
Due to the events today on Mt. Rubin, and seeing that the
Kingdoms' military seemingly is unable to respond properly
to foreign threats without consent of it's civilian authorities,
I see no other choice then offering an unconditional surrender
to your faction. As head of state in the Kingdom, I take full
responsability of this tragedy and hope to be in time to stop
this circle of utter violence before it escalates even further...
She paused a bit, thinking of what more she could say,
but nothing came.
I await your response and terms of surrender, Doctor.
Elevea out.
