it has nothing to do with intelligence! it's about the fact that blacks, hispanics, irish, italians, et al are concentrated in established Democratic strongholds such as cities.

it's kind of like what the Democrats did a century ago in the South... poor whites would have been best off voting for the Populist Party and discarding the racism that was indoctrinated into them by the Democratic Party.

Trust me on this. Black people are extremely myopic when it comes to injustice. They have vaalid complaints about what is done to them, but they don't often aid other oppressed communities. Right, cuz people aren't smart enough to figure out which party's politics hurts them and which parties doesn't hurt them as much. If it were simply expediency of whatever party was ascendant, we'd expect to see far more Black and Hispanic Repugs in the South, but we don't. The fact is, people are smart enough to vote against a party which is opposed to their interests.

i can't really argue with you there, but I do think, in general, a black person will recognize injustice before a white person. Although they might not care, if it doesn't concern them. That is stupid too though. "Injustice anywhere is an injustice everywhere" -King.
