I feel I must say something.

I may have said in the past I've had sex in high school. But I was lying . I guess I felt the need to make it seem like I've been with women.

I did not lose my virginity until I was 21. And I'm going to be the first here to say it may be better to stay a virgin. I thought losing my virginity would give me more confidence (you see it in movies ), but that is not true. I still have no confidence. But I did not want to be a virgin until my 30's.

The problem is, after I got my taste of sex, I wanted it more and more. The more sex I have, the more I want. Before I had sex, I really didn't think about it that much. Now I think about it all the time.

Sometimes I think it would have been better had I remained a virgin until I get in a serious relationship or marriage (still hasn't happened)

Granted, I have sexual experience only with one person, but my gf and I always took extra care not to catch rbabies.

Condoms at first, before she could get a prescription for the pill, contraceptive pill, morning-after pills the two times we felt it was unsure, and a willingness to go abort if all else fails.

None of my friends had a problem with their partners lying to them about contraception, except those who dated the unstable girl I mentioned earlier.

that's not why they do it. Some still believe they can entrap a man if they become pregnant with his baby. Though now days this does not work that well. The problem is not sex ed. Trust me on this. Sex ed is possibly the most inane course in the entire school, and they start teaching the same frigging course every year at something like fifth grade. It's just lots of idiots.

I'll never figure out when the schools will really start teaching about sex.

This is a public health issue. Normally, in public health issues, the safety and health of the entire population outweighs the silly beliefs of an individual family (like forcing kids to be immunized to go to public school).

I'll be the first to say it. But my sex ed in school was a joke. They mentioned the term wet dream, but they never explained what it was. I had no idea what a wet dream was for a long time. They never went into detailed about the various sexual diseases and how you contract them. They just mentioned them by name and said they were bad. I could go on and on.

It doesn't help that in my state sex ed was taught in health class which was often taught by coaches of the various sports teams. They weren't the best teachers in school.

I wonder how it looks like in the US. At least in your part of the US
