another friend of mine and an old pseudo-romantic interest has become pregnant. She's 18 so it shouldn't be a problem but from working and taking care of her future child... i guess school and her singing career will be put on hold, probably forever...

I was a virgin until 24. Kind of annoying to be "saving yourself" for marriage when marriage may be another 3 years away.

The psychology of an old virgin is dangerous, as was mine.

I hated people who had sex, and thought they didn't understand "love" the way I did.

I could not possibly ever see myself with a non-virgin, so most women my age were not possible. Worse, once I heard they had a past, I got wquietly angry... so it was almost about finding out if she was a virgin. As soon as a girl was honest, I would get hostile. Needless to say, most "relationships" lasted about 5 days at the most.

But the pressure mounted, and finally I promised my self the next thing that wanted it, would get it.

Two night stand, and boom, I was no better than anyone else that "didn't have the sense" to wait for me.

Afterwords it was like night and day.

Conclusion: Remaining a virgin is stupid, get a condom.

I answered four, allthough the "deeper" answer is 2.

Well it doesn't quite work like that for me NeOmega...I don't really hold other people up to those standards...it's an issue about self-comprehension and understanding - and it is just something I don't seem to be able to figure out.

i dont have that problem... my abstinence is completely my decision. no one, whether parents or the bible, influenced me in this regard.

it's funny cause when i was younger and first becoming attracted to girls (11-12), I thought sex before age 16 was wrong because then, you're just plain too young but i expected to have sex after i turned 16. By the time i was 16, however, i had witnessed so many girls become pregnant that I said **** sex. it's wrong.

stupid ones. Many of them thought they were in love, but weren't. Some just nevfer thought of using contraception or never accepted the gravity of the situation.

And many people's live were ruined by marriage as well... only to divorce two years/ months / days later.

You can do/ not do what you want. I don't even know how old you are, but 24 was too old for me.
