it's all about balance

i now know how yanks feel: taking over countries using preemptive strikes (ok, but this time there WAS a threat ), having vassal states that balance the power, greedily grab resources, apease and bribe former enemies, etc, etc, etc.

needless to say, the current peace is not in the americans (er.. sumero-dutch) gusto. a reevaluation and reassessment of the the world situation has to be done
muahahahahaaaa

Yes......and er, you wonder why the rest of the world thinks America is arrogant. Take another look at Sabre's last post and you will know the answer.

Got spare money?

exactly that's what i was implying

i just see so many parallels to the "real world".

the only difference (but a major one): here it's a game, and there must be a winner... but in real life there is no winner. only losers...

You'd better stop making fun of the USA or Toby Keith will write another song about butt kicking.

hitler is a little harsh. it's just a game after all...

but you're right, the USSR did the same. eg. supporting iran in the 80s. but guess who was supporting iraq in that war

oh, and by the way: can you explain why we always hear "to be free" from the americans? why do you compare yourselves to unfree nations in the world?
a large part of the world is "free". all of europe, north america, and australia/oceania. also most of south america and a big part of asia, except china and the radical countries. (note: i don't know enough about central africa to make a valid point about that continent)

i never hear an australian, a western european, a brasilian, etc say that they are proud to be free...
i don't mean this as an attack, i'm just curious.

Thats why I called you little Hitler

Don't ask my to explain country music lyrics. Some people need things to be made realy simple for them I guess.

btw Reagan supported both Iran and Iraq in that war. Clearly politicians can't always get it right, but making the decisions is much less popular than complaining about them.

the only thing i liked about him was that he wanted to breed tall, pretty, big-b'ed women.

if it's about stupid ignorant people: we've got lots of them too
here the comment is "we're proud to be neutral".

(btw: the most recent ad campaign by the right-wing party said "muslim's soon in the majority?", calculating that by 2025 that would be the case. they just saw how the muslim community here doubled in the past 10 years or so and extrapolated.)

true, ranting is a lot easier than deciding.
but then.. no one really gets harmed by rants, but high-level decisions often lead to deaths of some 100'000 (even if the decision is not to do anything, or to do something else)

oh well, c'est la vie.
