a) no island/continent map
b) no luxury scarsity like in fumble
c) not a too slow start (so maybe 2 settlers, 2 workers)

Why no island/continents? I was thinking similar setup to this one....probably continents, 2 civs each, but no AP. And I want the Vikings

And no Sumeria/Dutch combo for Sabre!

2 settlers is fine, how about 3? No more than 2 workers....and say 3 warriors for early exploration

well, you see what happens when some have their civs split up and others don't. at least in this game the other continent was reachable even without seafaring trait, but often it isn't possible.

I'd rather not start another epic game. How about a scenario? Rise of Rome and WWII are 4 player. If GC would rather not then Mesoamerica is 3. Sabre has the line on a few other fast players if we would like to mix it up with 7 or 8.

no more than 5 players please. anything more than that makes efficient playing nearly impossible

the RoR scenario is extremely unbalanced and only really works against the AI. rome is incribly weak early on, but when the legionary III comes, they are nearly unbeatable.

i've played WWII - 4 humans against sid AI japan. it was fun, but over quite soon...

concerning this game: i didn't fail to notice that i'm not receiving a single luxury resource from your continent. which of course doesn't make me and my people happy.

a) if there's an embargo against me, i'd like to know about it.
