I take it you just bought it? (or obtained it).

great game. Not much replayability for me. I did play it through twice completely. I did start a third game, but grew bored of it.

I always vow to use powers and strategies I never use before, but I always fall back into my hack and slash style.

I'm looking forward to the sequal.

there's this thing you can do to Mission near the end of the game, which strikes me as one of the coolest things you can do in any game. That action made the game for me. It's a bit evil though

Are you playing light or dark side?

It's probably worth playing both sides. Though I think the council should see how evil you are turning out and do something about it. But they had to keep the plot moving along.

I didn't see it coming . But I had some questions about where what's his name did go.

Actually I thought he was talking about the other plot twist. Although technically it might not be a twist, just a change in events.

I don't see how the clues barely even suggest it, let alone give anything conclusive.

yeah it's hard to see it the first time you play it. You can see a few clues when you replay it though. It mainly has to do with what Bastila and the Yoda look alike say.

BS... it's easy to see. Especially if you go to Kashyyyk before the Leviathan, then you'd have to be a freakin' retard not to notice it because of what that computer says to you.

But even if you haven't gone there, you've got to expect the plot twist. I suppose some people just refuse to pay attention to that stuff, but I saw it coming miles away. Where's Revan and why don't they show his/her face - dunno, you can't remember stuff why - dunno, you have visions (about stuff you've seen before), etc. etc.

Tired of ads?

It took you a while to play it, eh?

Oh, and don't worry about all the people calling you an idiot for not 'getting' the plot twist. Most people didn't. Apoc wanted to argue that the story was average and said the plot twist was easy to spot a mile away in order to support his contention. Hindsight sure is 20/20 .

I was sure the whole Revan/Malak stuff would come back into play for your character, but I definetly wasn't prepared for the full story. Great surprise... perhaps the best in video game history (maybe second behind Samus in Metroid being a girl) .

But I don't think I went to Kashyyk before Leviathan. And even if I did, my brain just wouldn't have wrapped around the concept to realize it! Seriously, usually I spot this stuff miles away, but KOTOR got me completely off guard.

The unthinkable happened...

I got bored of this game months ago and went back to Neverwinter Nights.

But I'll probably have the nostalgic urge to play again, especially come February when the sequel is out on PC (they're doing it to us again! ). It still rates as one of my favourite games of all time.

And as for the first plot twist, I did see it coming, but it still hit hard regardless and I was still reeling from the shock while wandering the unknown world. And as for the the second plot twist, I found there was no missing that, even way back on Dantooine (and maybe sooner). Certain other game's plots have however desensitized me to the shock value of that certain plot device though.

Oh yeah, and Samus being a girl:

Whether you get the plot twist or not (I didn't), the story & (voice)acting kicks the pants off of most contemporary Star Wars movies/storys. The game has flaws, but I really enjoyed the story line. Its the best star-wars cinematic experience since the first trilogy. I also enjoyed getting to know each character. Also watching someone play it a second time is fun, they manage to get things you don't.

What are people's thoughts on KotOR II: Sith Lords? To me, it seems the same, with some tweaking, more force powers/weapons, new plot, and that's it. I'll still buy it though. The first one was quite enjoyable to me, as my son, my father and I, always played it when my father and mother came over on the Saturday.

Well, the story is unoriginal. Think about it...if your character has amnesia there has to be something about his past, and frankly what the story had was the only obvious conclusion.

Maybe so in the final analysis, but it gets A+ in production value at every point.

KOTOR 2... looks decent, but I'm not excited about it. The reason is because it isn't being made by Bioware. It will still be good I'm sure, but I'm much more psyched about picking up Jade Empire.

KOTOR 2 strikes me as one of those deals where a great company sells it's idea to a lesser company, who then just ends up copying everything because they aren't good enough to make a kickass game on their own. Another good example of this is that first expansion to Diablo 1... I think it was called Hellfire. It was outsourced by Blizzard to someone else and it was pretty stupid.

I was a mix of Guardian and Consular (can't remember the name). It was rather easy, as I had two of the best shields in the game, had heal as a force power, and force immunity, and had master flurry as a feat.
