Yeah I figured it out and edited it a few seconds later but this thread is on fire

So although it looks Ohio will go to Bush and he wins, if we consider that provisionnal ballot thing, and Ohio goes to Kerry , then bush would need Iowa Nevada and Wisconsin to win.
Within an hour or so well see how big the Bush lead is on Kerry in Ohio.
I think even 50K would be hard to catch up.

MSNBC is showing Bush ahead in Nevada by 2k votes but with tens of thousands of absentee ballot still to count. Most of them from Clark County which is more liberal then the rest of the state.

In any case Although the Bush lead in Ohio is down to 100K , were now at 93 % precinct reported.
Notice Bush is back at 52% popular vote nationwide.
And that there is about 100 Million vote counted up to now, which was one of the commonly heard estimate, but it was vastly under estimated...

Democrats have a lot to think about. They continue to lose ground nationally. Republicans have controlled Congress for 12 years. (With a short hiatus due to Senator Jeffers going Independent.) Republican Congressional margins are increasinng. An unpopular, inarticulate president is re-elected over a smooth and eloguent Democrat candidate. In fact, no Democrat presidential candidate has won even 50% of the vote since Carter in '76. Carter was also the last Democrat to sweep the South. (Note please that Clinton, like Carter, was also a Southern Democrat.)

Why are the Democrats increasingly becoming a minority party?

The consensus view among the talking heads is that they are on the wrong side of the social values equation. Since Reagan, social conservatives, regardless of economic status, are increasingly voting Republican. There seems no way for the Democrats ever to reverse this trend until and unless they move once again to America's social values center.

Iowa, Nevada and Wisconsin and MAYBE Ohio will remain within recounting range.
To win , Bush needs either Ohio, or all the other 3.
