Excellent job, Sir Paddy. King Snoopy V has taken the reigns, and all is well in the Korean War.
Hawkeye Pierce is resting on the comfortable couches of the Hostels of Liverpool. We have taken it with few losses!
AD 1600: Take Liverpool. Land near Inchon, south of the Saltpetre - I think that's the only one they have, so that would be a coup. Indians want peace - hah! I want to take their city and kill it. Koreans try to kill our ships with their Caravels - lol, doesn't work at all. Lyons is a failed assault by the Koreans that never really happened, as the French finish off their forces. Lots of workers built this turn, it will be a trend for a few turns. I like fast railroads
AD 1605: Iron pillaged, so no more Pikeman or non-horse offensive units of meaning (well, longbowmen ) ... Saltpetre has 3 cavalry on it, it should be pillaged next turn with no problem... and we're going to see if we can do some damage to the cities nearby too.
AD 1610: Hawkeye Pierce makes an entrance, with a victory over Pyongsong's defenders, producing a great leader (Canute II). Saltpetre is pillaged, and next turn we will own (or raze, not sure) Pyongsong.
AD 1615: Pyongsong RAZED. I went with my gut - no more Greek repeat. Also took Dover, kept that. Large army of cavalry-types moving through; I'm going to take this slow enough to ensure I don't lose any cities (or many, anywho) to reversion.
AD 1620: 1620 is hard on frigates. Two full-HP frigates are lost to Caravels! Eek! Not much else, other than capturing Paegam!
AD 1625: Not much. Mostly just healing those wounded cavalry from the last two cities, and consolidation.
AD 1630: In the irony to end all ironies, Hawkeye Pierce takes Inchon, after a thorough naval bombardment! Also take Ulsan with relatively little pain. Korea is going to be very easy now that they have no musketmen ... Also trade Industrialization to the Celts for 297gpt and 1200 gold. I figure it's worth it. It will certainly hurt their ability to develop science, in addition to helping ours ...
AD 1635: Taejon taken. Mmmm. Factories building.
AD 1640: Hyangsan and Namp'o taken. Lots of RRs finished - the home continent is nearly connected!
AD 1645: Pyonyang taken...
At end of turn - Celts declare war on us! Our valiant veteran cavalry defeats 3 medieval infantry attacks before succumbing to a fourth, near Modo's on the Celtic coast. Good thing the Koreans are about finished- we needed somewhere to send our cavalry next! Seoul has an adequate force to take it sitting outside (barring the Koreans sinking their forces into Seoul, but I doubt that.) Pison has only 2 units inside (i've been bombarding it to test) so that's an easy city to take with the force outside it as well. Korea should be at most 5-6 turns left, excepting the little island of 2 small cities - that can be taken or not at your leisure.
I left the Greeks alone - the Iroquois are doing them in nicely. Also kept us at war with India and Zulu, just because we can, and I want some of those stinking silks, and i'd rather capture them than pay for them. I'm sure it's not too hard to take a zulu city given what era they're in.
Have fun - i'll email Grandpatroll the save. I'm only posting the one screenie here, because i'm sleepy, but trust me, the demographics and score look nice.
