No idea, but there are women suicide bombers.

And if you're profiling so you only search, or mostly search men, the number of women will increase.

The "terrorists" aren't stupid, or at least they appear to be smarter than the people supporting profile.

Once you show a weakness, they'll exploit it. If you don't search women as much, they'll get more women.

All it takes is one or two to get through to kill hundreds or thousands of people...so the argument of "proportion" is stupid. As long as their is one, or the potential to be one, it's equally risky.

This is precisely why we need a domestic intelligence agency. People who fly often, or who are off the radar so to speak, shouldn't receive extra scrutiny just in the name of safety. Israel does a good job with their airlines because they already know who a terrorist is and who isn't.

Israel has been racially profiling for as long as I can remember. Europe does it too.
