I think 6 teams would be good. Nuke - when I said go on a recruiting drive, I meant asking around to see who else wants to play. it looks like the team needs some leadership, though.

Regent had been the decision by several players before, and I think it is the right one. Regent will decrease corruption a little and speed up tech a little, speeding up the game without horribly damaging strategic choices.

Barbs - whatever, i guess i'd go for restless or raging, but with this small of a map i doubt it matters.

GT- start as soon as we have either a sixth team or no sixth team is decided upon. Dominae can probably start making the map now - unless we need to decide 5 or 6 ahead of time; hmm, we probably do need to don't we. Either make 2 - or wait i guess.

I think we should wait until ... hmm, tuesday. If on Tuesday, evening, my time, we have a sixth team, then we play with 6; if we don't, then we play with 5. Sound good?

Sabre, I agree on Emperor, but I could be comvinced that monarch is OK as well.


It could be done by Wednesday evening though. If none objected, could the unclassified posters be made into a team?

Hmm... to me it's more about the team-vs-team stuff, and I think regent allows that more.

Ok, i'll start a poll. I had thought most of the team captains agreed before on regent ... but perhaps some of you changed your minds (I will note that every team captain that's posted to date has asked for Regent ... )

Unless they are willing to organize themselves, no. I have asked them several times to do so, and nobody has done so - and i'm not interested in having a team that's not interested in playing particularly, nor particularly organized. They'd be eaten alive by us.

By Tuesday, to me, if nobody (conmcb, GT, GF, LN, whatever) has organized a team, nobody is going to. That's over a week since we started discussing team 6, and I'm just asking someone to Step Forward - not necessarily finish forming a team, but show us that there is interest for a sixth team. I don't think playing with 5 teams is all that bad; I'd much rather play with 5 interested teams than 6 where one of them will not be interested. But it's a demo game, so if you all would rather wait, that's fine.

And I agree with your point. If we can get some other DG regulars, such as Kloreep, Godking, Theseus, Notyoueither, Cort Haus, and Hot_Enamel, then a sixth team is necessary, but as it is now, we are better off absolving the sixth team and having the rest of the other players join the other five teams, making for bigger and more active teams.

Vondrack has made it clear that he wants no part of any more democracy games or PBEMs. I think he joined the Canadian Team at MZO but was an observer only.
