How many teams do we really have?

I see that Team Babylon, really teams 1 through 3, have 6 or 7 players, while the other have 3 or 4. But there are still players on the bench.

My point? I was going to PM Beta about inviting the Troll, but we seem full compared to a few other teams.

Is Team 6 still involved? Is everyone who is 'unclassified' still waiting for a team invite?

I'd hate to see anyone looking to play be shut out. If you think back to the playground, that was me usually me jumping up and down, "pick me pick me!"

Well, what if the 5 of us ungrouped players just banded together to form a team?

It might work well, especially since 4 of us (sorry Masuro ) are either GMT-5 or -6, and could probably take the late GMT playspot of the old team 6...

Jonny - great idea. Are you folks comfortable with that?

I have tried all the demo game folks I know. A number have not logged in to say yes or no, so I think we take that as a no.

My secret souce was the Spanish Forum where I am in a pbem - (yes - I am absolutely useless at diplomacy there - if there is someone who speaks spanish and wants in - this is a team game that MZ got me involved in and then he went awol - give me a shout.) They have politely declined. I think the slowness of the ptwdg2 has frustrated them as well.

I think that is going to be the key to the success of this game.

It has to move quickly!

So - I think Jonny and Sabre were onto something here. We have some players not on teams yet - and some large teams. Anuyone want to step forward and lead these folks into the promised land??

My concern about the "unassigned" team is simply that they need to self-organize, as I posted earlier. If there is someone interested in organizing that team, then we're good to go.

However, I hear someone may be doing so. So I will lay off for now.

Some of these teams are getting too big anyway. How are you going to organize 6 or more people and get a turn played in a day? We should start this game real soon because its getting a little out of control.

So I volunteer to abandon my roots and strike out on my own. team six "The Lost Boys." Kicked out of Babylon because we were vampires, ya thats the ticket were all vampires. Like all vampires we are hard working and love the sea. We (just me actually, people will join later vampires have some kinda charm spell I think. ) Will play the Carthaginians, but call them Transylvania and the King will be Nosferatu. Best time to play GMT 02 - 05.

So can we start the game now?

I had sent an e-mail to snoop saying I was willing to do the same thing to get the game going. And in doing so, I thought Team babylon would be OK because you would be there to lead it. This confirms my suspicions. You are leader!!!

I wish you and the 'Lost Boys' all the best. I will miss you on our team - you are one imaginative and colourful individual. I look forward to bonking heads with you in this game.

1. Please VOTE in the Naming thread here ... it's a TIE right now. I'm going to tell the Powers That Be that Pangea Eruptus is the name if it's still a tie when I get around to doing this, as my vote was for something else, and I will change it to P.E. to break the tie.

2. Team Babylon and Team Conquest, I don't think I have other names for you. Please give me new names ASAP and I mean *today* or *tomorrow*. Weds. night (24 hours from now!) I intend to send the info to Ming and MarkG so they can work on private forums et al.

3. If anyone is going to switch teams or whatever do so now please ... one of the things i'll send Ming/MarkG is the names of the players on the teams so they start out on the right civgroups. Or so I understand anyway.
