A school should not be allowed to paddle/hit kids of any age.
I'm 31 and attended Catholic schools k-12 and they never paddled or hit anyone, no "paddling forms" either. Aside from suspension or detention, they simply called the parents and let them handle any additional punishment later. And this was in a red state.
The stereotypes and generalizations in this thread are absurd. I'm a straight white guy & have seen more corruption, sexism, discrimination, homophobia and hate in my several years in this blue state I'm in now. It would be silly to claim that's all because I'm in a blue state. I would provide real life examples, but that's not the topic of this thread.

I agree things are worse in some other countries, but things can still be better here too.
