You all brought up the
point! That's why i'm concerned |
| 7:16:50 PM |
Paddy |
ouch |
| 7:16:55 PM |
Ljube |
we simply do not want to
trade it at all |
| 7:17:14 PM |
snoopy369 |
That's not your decision to
make |
| 7:17:39 PM |
Paddy |
may I say this... |
| 7:19:40 PM |
Paddy |
Snoop,
you are due to get writing when you have HBR. Then you will also get Lit at
this time we have Writing and Lit you want them both early, we understand and
appreciate that our request at this time is very simple, that neither civ
trades lit with any other civ AT LEAST until HBR has been handed over |
| 7:20:03 PM |
snoopy369 |
I understood that from the
first. (Well, the latter part a bit later, but whatever.) |
| 7:20:32 PM |
Paddy |
so your civ benefites from
having them early, why trade them with others now |
| 7:20:40 PM |
snoopy369 |
Based on our hut agreement,
we have the right to literature now - just not feasible gameplay wise. |
| 7:21:06 PM |
snoopy369 |
As we are due writing
anyway, in a few turns, and there are advantages to both teams from us
getting writing now, it is not unfair for us to ask for both now |
| 7:21:09 PM |
snoopy369 |
with no fetters |
| 7:21:09 PM |
Paddy |
well we cannot give you lit
now, as you do not have writting yet |
| 7:21:17 PM |
snoopy369 |
as i say |
| 7:21:22 PM |
Paddy |
so you will get lit as per
aggreement |
| 7:21:29 PM |
snoopy369 |
Heck, why am i arguing with
you |
| 7:21:31 PM |
snoopy369 |
we can't trade lit |
| 7:21:34 PM |
snoopy369 |
nobody has writing either |
| 7:21:47 PM |
Paddy |
well why is this a
conversatiuon |
| 7:21:50 PM |
snoopy369 |
I still feel that you are
being wholely unreasonable, but this argument is pointless |
| 7:21:52 PM |
snoopy369 |
i just realised it |
| 7:21:58 PM |
Paddy |
unless you trade writing too |
| 7:22:02 PM |
Paddy |
 |
| 7:22:10 PM |
snoopy369 |
We shall not trade writing
until you get hbr, without your explicit approval |
| 7:22:12 PM |
snoopy369 |
and benefit |
| 7:22:42 PM |
Paddy |
this conversation is very
meaningful to us as we need to be certain that lit will remain with just our
civs |
| 7:23:02 PM |
Paddy |
we would hope writing also
remains with only our peoples |
| 7:23:24 PM |
snoopy369 |
We may or may not trade
writing. I'm not sure. Not until it's validly ours to trade, mind you |
| 7:23:41 PM |
snoopy369 |
But i'm not going to make
any promises there. |
| 7:24:06 PM |
Paddy |
Do you appreciatte our point
of view or not? |
| 7:24:23 PM |
snoopy369 |
I disagree with it. |
| 7:24:34 PM |
snoopy369 |
But i think that's obvious,
that your point of view on tech and ours is different. |
| 7:24:34 PM |
Paddy |
why |
| 7:24:46 PM |
snoopy369 |
Myself and McMeadows believe
in trading techs aggressively for our benefit |
| 7:24:55 PM |
snoopy369 |
Either for additional techs,
or for lots of cash |
| 7:25:14 PM |
snoopy369 |
additional techs, if we
trade one tech with three groups for three different techs, helps us a lot
more than not trading it |
| 7:25:22 PM |
snoopy369 |
and cash, keeps others from
researching as fast |
| 7:25:32 PM |
snoopy369 |
either way, puts us in a
more advanced spot compared to other teams |
| 7:26:08 PM |
snoopy369 |
Literature is a particularly
valuable tech, as it is considered very valueable to some teams, especially
scientific teams, and can earn a lot |
| 7:27:03 PM |
Paddy |
hmmmm |
| 7:27:03 PM |
Paddy |
indeed |
| 7:27:13 PM |
Ljube |
and is worthless to you |
| 7:27:23 PM |
snoopy369 |
Not worthless, but not as
valuable as it is to others |
| 7:27:25 PM |
Ljube |
because, face it snoopy, the
only thing you value is the next age |
| 7:27:33 PM |
snoopy369 |
Not true at all, we value
several things |
| 7:27:41 PM |
snoopy369 |
but one of them is the next
age. |
| 7:28:34 PM |
snoopy369 |
Tech superiority, more,
although that is in some ways equivalent |
| 7:28:40 PM |
snoopy369 |
that's why literature is not
valueless to us |
| 7:28:44 PM |
snoopy369 |
libraries are nice too |
| 7:29:49 PM |
Paddy |
hehe |
| 7:30:08 PM |
snoopy369 |
I don't think anyone's going
to build the GL in this game |
| 7:30:17 PM |
snoopy369 |
if so they'd be the target
of you and I pretty fast i suspect |
| 7:30:30 PM |
snoopy369 |
given we have mutual tech
superiority and would be giving the GL folks a huge boost |
| 7:32:07 PM |
Paddy |

Chrisius hello snoopy
snoopy369 and hello to you
Chrisius is it a convenient time
snoopy369 Convenient enough
snoopy369 whats up
Chrisius cool
Chrisius good to speak with you at last
snoopy369 :t
Chrisius I have taken over for the horde to be the link between our two teams
snoopy369 yessir
Chrisius and wanted to chat with you about some ideas
Chrisius do you mind if i record this
snoopy369 I never do
snoopy369 (Unless i say something to the effect of 'don't record this'
snoopy369 )
Chrisius (H)
Chrisius OK great stuff
Chrisius Ive been keeping up to date with all your discussions with Ljube and Paddy
snoopy369 yessir
Chrisius and Ive spoken with Paddy many times
snoopy369 good reading? :P
Chrisius so i know pretty all that I need for us to be able to develop our alliance further
snoopy369 yessir
Chrisius indeed
Chrisius I believe we should strengthen our relationship
snoopy369 :t
Chrisius so I wanted to propose something regarding our tech treaty
Chrisius at the moment there seems to be lots of discussion about his tech costs this much but that tech coasts this much
Chrisius all pretty boring really
snoopy369 yessir
snoopy369 :t sounds good so far
Chrisius at the end of the day all we really want is to coordinate with each other and share the benefits no ?
snoopy369 Essentially, yes
Chrisius ok
Chrisius well how about then we from this point just share straight up
snoopy369 hmm
snoopy369 ie all techs you get go to us
snoopy369 all techs we get go to you?
Chrisius both communicate what were researching and share the techs as they come in
Chrisius yes
snoopy369 through research, or through trade, or both?
Chrisius no keeping a count on whose spent more shields etc
Chrisius just swaop techs
snoopy369 swap, or gift
snoopy369 see these are two things
Chrisius well gift yes but swap really
snoopy369 is it still a 1:1 exchange
Chrisius there will be times when a 1:1 is not possible
snoopy369 or is it just 100% of what you research goes to us and the reveres
snoopy369 reverse*
Chrisius but why not get the benefits of a new tech when each other does
Chrisius yes as soon as we or you get a tech then send it along
snoopy369 hrm ... let me discuss this with the clan
Chrisius I think our alliance is strong enough for this
Chrisius ok
Chrisius one other thing
snoopy369 It is a substantial change, so i cannot okay it myself
Chrisius we also share all monetary gain from trade of said techs
Chrisius I understand
snoopy369 and will there still be the limitations on trading techs, or are those gone?
Chrisius so if we give you a tech and you profit by selling it on then you share with us the gold and we do likewise
snoopy369 I think that may be a point we care particularly about
Chrisius well what limits would you like ?
snoopy369 Oh, i think we prefer less limits
Chrisius I think we are singing in the same Pugh
snoopy369 we as a team seem to be more interested in trading than (in the past) you all have been
Chrisius only thing that worries the Horde is DR getting too many military techs
snoopy369 lol
snoopy369 i think they have the only one they'll ever need *-)
Chrisius yes sadly
snoopy369 okay i will pass this on to the team
Chrisius so a tech lead is definitely beneficial
snoopy369 we will respond with all due haste :t
snoopy369 yeh, i wish we had beaten LB to trading DR writing tho, but that was not to be helped
Chrisius but we need to agree on how big this lead should be
snoopy369 we didn't meet them in time :t
snoopy369 Ah yes, that would be a concer
snoopy369 concern*
snoopy369 we definitely realize that you all have done a bit extra to date on the tech spot
snoopy369 so were this to pass, we would not mind if you slowed for a bit to upgrade your warriors as you have stated
Chrisius well yes maybe but we dont weant to hold you to any silly deals
snoopy369 but overall we would like at least into the second era as quickly as reasonable :t
Chrisius me too
snoopy369 We can always hold tech powwows as needed
Chrisius I hope we get Philo first
snoopy369 ah, you will
snoopy369 and LB is researching philo
snoopy369 so don't talk to them about it
snoopy369 they asked us a very ... specific ... question
snoopy369 and we answered it very ... specifically
snoopy369 "Are you all researching philosophy?"
Chrisius we have decided only to talk to your team about technology
snoopy369 "Oh, no, go right ahead"
snoopy369 :t
Chrisius the others are only customers
snoopy369 hehe
Chrisius indeed
snoopy369 the BOH/Euphoria branches of the Great Tech Store
snoopy369 :t
Chrisius yes thats my view on it
snoopy369 how long to philo?
Chrisius so sell sell sell
Chrisius 1 or 2 turns i think
snoopy369 hm
snoopy369 let me check about math
snoopy369 if we could get math before you get philo that would be optimal
snoopy369 so you get math and then bonus tech / construction
Chrisius well if we can get this new deal signed then you will get everything we get straight away
snoopy369 yessir :t
Chrisius lovely that would be
snoopy369 math is my specific interest tho
Chrisius would you mind if i invite Paddy ?
snoopy369 i hate it when i get philo bonus and it's something like mapmaking
snoopy369 go right ahead
Chrisius (H)
Paddy has been added to the conversation.
Chrisius are you there old salt
the Paddy hello
Chrisius so how far off maths are you ?
snoopy369 apparently it is too far off
snoopy369 DR is, actually
snoopy369 not us
snoopy369 we're on Code of Laws
snoopy369 just started 1 turn ago
Chrisius ok well we wont slow down philo
snoopy369 DR is apparently still 5-6 turns off of maths
snoopy369 yeh just go ahead
snoopy369 get Mapmaking as free tech i suggest
Chrisius Philo in 3
snoopy369 at 2650
Chrisius hmm i will have to ask the horde for direction on that
snoopy369 or 2700
snoopy369 Mapmaking is the most expensive tech available, if we don't get mathematics
the Paddy 2650
snoopy369 so it's the best choice :t
snoopy369 We'll get CoL soon enough

Aqua says:
you there?
Paddy says:
hello, just passing through
Aqua says:
matey
Paddy says:
how are you?
Aqua says:
hey, C3CDG
Paddy says:
yes
Aqua says:
how goes the war? I see you have 5 swords and 2 archers near or in their lands
Paddy says:
well thanks
Aqua says:
I'd like to put some tentative feelers out then, as it were
Paddy says:
ok, do you want to do this now?
Aqua says:
yep
Paddy says:
ok
Aqua says:
is that ok?
Paddy says:
yes
Aqua says:
ok then, what would you say if I suggested that a particular team is being a right royal pain in the arse, and we may be looking for an ally in the short term....perhaps even a long term ally
Paddy says:
oh
Aqua says:
lol
Paddy says:
well in this game one could expect that
Aqua says:
lol, true
Paddy says:
what are you suggesting / offering / desiring?
Aqua says:
suggesting.....that the mighty military of BOH would not take unkindly to military actions in other parts of the world and may in fact wish to offer support at an appropriate time
Paddy says:
do tell
Aqua says:
and would not have any intention of playing peacemaker and try to intervene. well there is a particular civ who is unreasonably stationing certain offensive units outside our land and refuses to explain their presence
Paddy says:
hmmm, how close are they?
Aqua says:
and so a military response is one of our options at this point.
on our borders
Paddy says:
ok
Aqua says:
we are adequately defended and I don't think they'd be dumb enough to cross, but their presence is unwanted
Aqua says:
so would the BOH be interested in a covert alliance of any kind?
Paddy says:
I need to take that to the Grand Council.
Aqua says:
tied in with tech cooperation of some sort
Paddy says:
which nation?
what do you offer?
what do you require?
when do you require what you want?
Aqua says:
Euphorica of course
offer? nothing substantive at present
require.....ditto
future....perhaps joint cooperation
we are far enough apart not to threaten each other for quite some time
Paddy says:
I will present this chat into the minutes of the next meeting of the Grand Council. Prior to that I will circle it to the various department heads
Aqua says:
ok then
Paddy says:
Do you have anything else you would like to say for the council to take into consideration.
Aqua says:
not at this juncture, no. this situation will develop slowly, and I merely wish to alert your honourable selves to the possibility of conflict in another part of the world, in the hope that we may be able to cooperate against some of the more barbaric nations on earth
Paddy says:
Thank you for taking the time to let us know
Aqua says:
you are welcome, good sir

right here, right now
Mar 1999 time: 06:26
|
|
McMeadows says:
So, for the persepective. We'll leave our homelands near empty and move with a huge stack in the direction of DR. They might think to move swift through the fields and demolish our nation... But there will be BOH waiting for them...
Paddy says:
hehe
Ljube says:
OK, further calculations show that we can have our main force there in 10 turns, not 12
McMeadows says:
If they decide to stay home and go on defense, we'll have our huge stack in position and draw all the attention towards the east, while you move south from our territory onto Antioch.. how does it sound?
perfect,... so we need to move in about 7
Ljube says:
OK, we can cover the gap with adetachment that will arrive sooner
McMeadows says:
as we'll be spotted before we are there... with the road, resupplies will be swift. agreed on we start moving on turn 56?
Ljube says:
what is the current turn?
McMeadows says:
49, 50 is next
Ljube says:
ok, on 56 then
McMeadows says:
Unless DR cooks up something unexpected,... on which we will have another chat if required
Ljube says:
they will keep building immortals
McMeadows says:
for instance, if they attack us before, we'll have to defend and you might get around them...
Ljube says:
yes, they probably won't attack
McMeadows says:
from the west... which is more slow
Ljube says:
they don't have many allies in this world
McMeadows says:
indeed... so I think we'll have this plan working in a few turns
Ljube says:
yes, so we'll haev first swords arriving to your land on turn 56 then, or 57
McMeadows says:
if you're able to, we would be less vulnerable for the unlucky occasion of DR already being just out of sight at the moment we move out if you can have a few horsemen there, it'd would be great, as they are really adequate against other horses
Ljube says:
yes, we can send at least two, possibly 3 or fours swords by that time (depending on whether we upgrade our remaining warriors). yes we can also send horses
McMeadows says:
that should be safe then
we'll trust our lands to our allies...
Ljube says:
thanks we will not fail you
McMeadows says:
You see I have good faith in you and your horde, great Khan
and you Ljube too, off course
Ljube says:
thanks
McMeadows says:
I just hope they think to be smart to put pressure on us with some horsemen... those will be toast and a huge loss
Paddy says:
indeed
Ljube says:
hehe
McMeadows says:
and otherwise they'll meet the horde at their doorstep
Paddy says:
indeed
Ljube says:
It seems that using this road and ROP, BOH swords can be on hill 9 from antioch in 20 turns. if the opportunity present itself
McMeadows says:
ok... that means a few turns after we arrive at DR border. perfect,... just enough to have them move their units
Ljube says:
yes, road is crucial in making that possible
McMeadows says:
NO **** wasn't without reason that we added that issue to the conversation... (and were a little annoyed it was still not done)...
Ljube says:
just in time, always the best way of doing business
McMeadows says:
hehe

Email from Paddy to all of us
quote: Good afternoon Lord Rhoth of the Bards
Hoping that this finds you and your people well.
I understand that the sacred save is with you at this present time, and just thought to touch base with you re-time mangeagement coordination etc, just as I did with mac quite regularly. The Horde stands by at this present time to receive the passage of said sacred save.
Some Intel that Red Guard Operations (RGO) feels could be of importance to you and your fine nation.
The Desolators.
Yul Brynner (horse 4/4) who we DR boost survived a battle with your troops was last to be found hiding in woods at coordinates - Metallica 2,2,2,2
A yet unnamed (Immortal 3/3) was last to be found on the road heading north at coordinates - Antioch 9
Fred (warrior 3/3) was last to be found at coordinates - Metallica 2,2,3
Dave (warrior 3/3) was last to be found at coordinates - Ta-Tu 7,7,4. Dave is well out of theatre, just keeping you in the loop of all movements.
RGO feels that these units will / could be used as infiltration units to burst across your borders and cause panic, destruction and further mayhem.
The Babylonians.
I had a good long chat with Beta in the last 24 hours. The Babylonians are at this moment putting together the "1st Babylonian Battle Patrol" which will consist of at least 3 horse, possibly 5 or 6. This Battle Patrol with aid of RGO maps will make its way to the DR warzone and be fully available to pick off Desolator units that are running loose, as well as put further pressure upon the Desolators.
In this the Babylonians will then start full preparation for the "2nd Babylonian Battle Patrol", and get such on its way to the front asap.
This allows them to fully contribute, yet not have the hassle of starting their GA through use of slow moving Bowmen.
These fast moving Battle Patrols will be of great benefit to our Three nation Alliance (TNA).
Horde Red Guard.
The road between our people will be finished in the next 2 turns.
We have dyes ready for instant trade.
We have scouts in scattered throughout the centre of the map - the Common garden.
Several of our units are ready to move into your lands in the coming two turns, with a much greater force just behind them.
If Dave (Desolator Warrior 3/3 moves the next step, he may be able to see our troops entering your lands.
Hoping all is going well

Paddy's report on the war via email
quote: Good afternoon Lords of the Euphorica,
Hoping that this finds you and your people well.
The following is the 1600bc Red Guard Operations (RGO) Intel report, that we feel is of importance to you and your fine nation.
The Desolators.
Unit stack, fortified was last to be at coordinates – Sidon 7
Foxtrot (spears 4/4)
Samson (immortal 4/4)
Hercules (immortal 4/4)
Worker
Yul Brynner (horse 4/4) was last to be found hiding in woods at coordinates - Metallica 2,2,2
Fred (warrior 3/3) was last to be found at coordinates - Metallica 2,3,3
A yet unnamed (Immortal 3/3) no longer seen
Dave (warrior 3/3) has been dismissed to the North West of Ta-Tu
So the Horde is now at war with the Desolators. I have already had an email from Aqua, he then called me to chat about it. The Horde have had a drama with that warrior for many many turns, so he is unsure what we are doing, but he is threatening us that he will now attack the Horde. I do believe we have him off step.
The Babylonians.
Joe (Warrior 2/2) was last to be on our western border.
Sheridan (horse 4/4) was last to be on the south western foot hills of the Volcanoes
"1st Babylonian Battle Patrol" which will consist of at least 3 horse, possibly 5 or 6, not sighted yet.
These fast moving Battle Patrols will be of great benefit to our Three nation Alliance (TNA).
Horde Red Guard.
Our troops have entered your lands.
Hot Lips (spearwoman 4/4) - at "U2" 7
The Khan’s Own Regiment - The Faithfuls (horseman 4/4) - at "Metallica" 8
The Wanderers (sword 3/3) - on road to Bardlands
Miss Watcher (spearwoman 3/3) – on road to Bardlands
Hammerhead (sword 3/3) – just leaving Hordelands
A much greater force is only 2 turns behind them.
We also have an un-named Lost Boy (warrior 4/4) under surveillance way over to the west.
We also have several A-M units under discreet surveillance, also far to the west of our borders.
The road between our people has been completed.
We have dyes ready for instant trade.
Our Horde Long Eyes (scouts) and The banshees (scouts) are working closely with Storm hoof (horse 5/5) in keeping roving patrols throughout the centre of the map - the Common garden.
If Fred (Desolator Warrior 3/3) moves the next step, he may be able to see our troops entering your lands. That would be one of his last mistakes…
Hoping all is going well
Paddy
After many interactions between Desolator Dave and various units of the Horde Red Guard, actions that date back many a turn, Horde Security Council sent for instructions to the Red Guard "Terminate that ****** with extreme prejudice!"
Orders were dispatched to the Lord Soothsayers Own Regiment, currently on maneouvres in the Horde's Northern Battle Training Grounds.
thus:
Soothsayer's Savages (horseman 4/5) - attacks Dave (Desolator warrior 3/3)
Dave (Desolator warrior) dismissed.

And further...
quote: Greetings Great Bards,
The Red Guard Operations (RGO) team have been working on the various reports since we had the last sacred save. Please find below two case studies that important.
------------------------------------------------------------
Case Yul Brynner:
The DR vet horse (4/4) Yul Brynner is currently located at forest 2-2-2 from the Bard iron and fur city of Metallica. The DR regular warrior (3/3) Fred is currently located at desert 2-3-3 from Metallica. These two units pose a significant threat to Metallica which is empty at the moment, particularly Yul Brynner.
Yul Brynner has several routs of approach to Metallica at his disposal. All are quite devastating.
He can move 8-7 or 8-8 which bings him within reach os Metallica, or he can move 8-9 which is not a threat. Fred can move 8, 7 or 4 and can't threaten Metallica immediately.
If Yul Brynner comes in position to attack Metallica, then since U2 is also empty, I doubt the bards could be able to repel the threat alone. We simply can't risk the bards losing that iron city. The only solution to this that I can see is that bards give us the city of Metallica accepted on the beginning of their next turn and then our troops move through Metallica and dismiss Yul Brynner. This is the only defence for that empty city. Half measures simply won't do.
We will of course return the city of Metallica once the danger has been eliminated.
------------------------------------------------------------
Case Sidon:
There are 2 DR Immortals (Hercules and Samson, both 4/4), one DR spear (Foxtrot 4/4) and one DR worker on position 7 from Sidon. I guess this strong detachment is there to protect the warrior who is building road toward the bard city of U2, at the moment also empty.
I believe and Paddy agrees that the city of Sidon is the DR base of operations for a DR planed all out assault on the Bard main. I believe the city to be full of immortals and the invasion road being built to facilitate their movement. They will probably stay put until the road is completed though.
I estimate the total size of their immortal army in Sidon since they are average to us in strength to something around 7-8 immortals (counting Samson and Hercules). Could be more if they are not all vet immortals, but not more than 9 in total I guess. I'll do the exact calculation soon based on our units and the moment they became average.
------------------------------------------------------------
We look forward to your responses.
May the wind fill you sails on a calm day.

A conversation Rhoth and I had with Paddy. The CODE part is the most interesting, with {} comments.
snoopy369 says:
What sort of force, precisely, do you have available to attack with right now, and where exactly is it?
Paddy says:
will get that for you
snoopy369 says:
Apologies btw if i'm repeating things mcm has asked in the past, i have an imperfect memory
snoopy369 says:

Paddy says:
no worries mate

Paddy says:
this will be in sections:

The Wanderers (sword 3/3) - at "Metallica" 8,9
Miss Watcher (spearwoman 3/3) - at "Metallica" 8,9
Khan's Own Faithfuls (horseman 4/4) - at "Metallica" 8,9
{This is the force in OUR TERRITORY}

Double Edge (swords 4/4) - to Bohkara
on his way
Shadow Striker (swords 4/4) - to Bohkara
on his way
Paddy says:
4. east of Fililous-Ala
Scarface (swords 4/4) - 8
Far Striker (archer 4/4) - 8
Bloodshaft (archer 4/4) - 8
Long Blades (swords 4/4) - 8
Cardial Crusher (swords 4/4) - 8
Devourer of Light (swords 4/4) - 8
{2,3,4 are all within 3 turns of Metallica and are part of the invasion force}
Paddy says:
Paddy says:
5.
Black Lightning (horseman 1/5) - to Bohkara to rest
Soothsayer's Savages (horseman 2/5) - 6,3
heading for barracks to rest
The Eingana Princesses (horseman 4/4) -
6. 1 turn away
Bongolian Royal Red Guards (horseman 4/4) -
{All of these appear on the map attached below}
Paddy says:
does that help
snoopy369 says:
yes, although i may need some help understanding some details
Paddy says:
ok
snoopy369 says:
i don't have my game open ... Bokhara is the city nearest us?
Paddy says:
no
snoopy369 says:
(i have very detailed maps of our area but not extending west much)
Paddy says:
Bloodview is
snoopy369 says:
ohh right
Paddy says:
ok
snoopy369 says:
i can open the one you sent me a while ago 1 sec
Paddy says:
Bohkara is a central city
Paddy says:
tx
Paddy says:
Horde would like to announce the completion of a Wonder.....
Paddy says:
The Statue of Zeus.
snoopy369 says:
SoZ ?
snoopy369 says:
lol nice
Paddy says:
in Khans Blood Hall
snoopy369 says:
Bokhara is the one 4441 from bloodview?
snoopy369 says:
or 4777
Paddy says:
a full press release will be published this afternoon
snoopy369 says:
yessir
snoopy369 says:
i imagine
Paddy says:
yes it is
Paddy says:
hehe
snoopy369 says:
4441?
Paddy says:
yes
snoopy369 says:
ok
snoopy369 says:
and Filious-ala?
snoopy369 says:
i have places for cities but no names
Paddy says:
would you like a new map soon then
snoopy369 says:
oh sure that would work
Paddy says:
1 minute
snoopy369 says:
kk
Paddy says:
system would not allow me to place here, so have emailed it to you both
Paddy says:
any luck?
snoopy369 says:
yes useful
snoopy369 says:
one sec to understand
Paddy says:
ok
snoopy369 says:
so if i get this right
snoopy369 says:
you could have in 6 turns, 4 swordsmen, 3 spearmen, and a horseman?
snoopy369 says:
in Sidon
snoopy369 says:
at sidon's gate rather
snoopy369 says:
?
Paddy says:
yes
Paddy says:
more
snoopy369 says:
and one turn after that you could have another 4 swords and 2 archers
snoopy369 says:
or maybe it's 5 turns and 6 not 6 ad 7 ... depends on route
Paddy says:
yes indeed
snoopy369 says:
okay.
snoopy369 says:
can you do that?
snoopy369 says:
send everything, directly, to Sidon, at the fastest possible speed?
Paddy says:
sounds logical
snoopy369 says:
and thereafter go to Antioch
snoopy369 says:
directly?
snoopy369 says:
assuming they give up sidon
Paddy says:
making us an agreessor
Paddy says:
assumming
snoopy369 says:
we will keep enough defenses
Paddy says:
I will have RGO do a full work up on taking Sidon down, and for us to move on Antich there after
Paddy says:
and continue to move all pieces this turn
snoopy369 says:
I'd like a committment that it will happen as soon as possible
snoopy369 says:
the thing is, we need them to be splitting their forces as much as possible
Paddy says:
you have my commitment in this matter
snoopy369 says:
okay
snoopy369 says:
we are ... rhoth, what about 3 turns away from their city?
Paddy says:
I will have full battle plans prepared and sent along in the coming 2 turns
snoopy369 says:
yes 3 turns
Rhothaerill says:
From the tile above it yes
snoopy369 says:
snoopy369 says:
so what we expect from DR, is for them to react to our presence, partially or fully emptying sidon
snoopy369 says:
as we have mountain/hill tiles on our end, we would rather take immortal attacks rather than you
Rhothaerill says:
That also depends on if they block that tile. It's a mountain and would be too much for us to attempt. We'd have to go around if they block us.
snoopy369 says:
true
snoopy369 says:
tho there are hills also there
snoopy369 says:
we shall see but it is a good timing i think nonetheless
Paddy says:
Understanding, my Red Guard are not just going to charge in, they are methodical and will work at this to get the maximun result.
so you have my commitment, yet please know that I have no details on this plan in front of me, nor are any of my RGO team here at this hour.
snoopy369 says:
I understand
Rhothaerill says:
Yeah, but that's the easiest tile get to.
snoopy369 says:
but the timing is important
snoopy369 says:
the stack you indicate is big enough to succeed given the split of DR forces
Paddy says:
yes I understand that
snoopy369 says:
but if they are able to concentrate ... we are weaker
Paddy says:
they are not suicide troops
snoopy369 says:
We don't expect them to be
snoopy369 says:
as i said, we land 2-3 turns ahead of you
snoopy369 says:
the hope is that DR will concentrate on us
snoopy369 says:
but some risks must be taken ... and you must admit that if either of us succeed, we both win
Paddy says:
and in that they were diverted from a long march to come back to act defensively, now you (agreeably) ask that they change again to attack
Paddy says:
I agree
Paddy says:
so to I am responsible
snoopy369 says:
oh yessir
snoopy369 says:
now we have some info also that may help your decision
Paddy says:
I am with you in all in this matter
snoopy369 says:
4 immortals were spotted 8 from inner sanctum this past turn
snoopy369 says:
according to Ljube that is 1/2 of their force
Paddy says:
ahhh decision made, now we plan for movements is all
snoopy369 says:
all veterans
Paddy says:
excellent
Paddy says:
excellent indeed
Rhothaerill says:
With luck they'll fall for my mini trap next turn, though I don't expect them to do so after failing to take out a worker and expose a horseman
Paddy says:
personally I would love nothing better than to gather my many horse regiments and tear Sidon to shreds
snoopy369 says:
Two turns ago Sidon had one veteran immortal and two horsemen south and southwest of Grog (Grog was all the time on the mountain).
Previous turn Sidon had only a Horseman - the one who was over the hills.
Sidon is occupied by a veteran spearman named Tropical Fish (?)
I have seen your forces and I really wish you good luck beating DR.
Paddy says:
ahhh
snoopy369 says:
this is from another source
Paddy says:
thank you
Paddy says:
good to have such sources
snoopy369 says:
so it seems they are fairly weak atm ...
snoopy369 says:
yessir
snoopy369 says:
in sidon anywho
snoopy369 says:
i think they moved the forces you saw over towards inner sanctum
Paddy says:
5 horse would shred that place
snoopy369 says:
oh yessir
Paddy says:
ok
snoopy369 says:
well as i said, 5-6 turns is what we would like to see, because that would likely give you a virtually undefended target
Paddy says:
any word on the "1st babylonian Battle Patrol"?
snoopy369 says:
any more may force other delays that would probably cost you more men to take sidon
Paddy says:
we are on the job
snoopy369 says:
nope
snoopy369 says:
not more than you said a bit ago, not from my end anywho
Paddy says:
ok
Paddy says:
"the fabled lost patrol"
and Aqua will die when they arrive
snoopy369 says:
we will be sending you some furs in a turn or two (rhoth?)
Paddy says:
5-6 Babylonian Horse in a single stack - awesome stuff
Rhothaerill says:
2 yes.
snoopy369 says:
we would love at that time to have some dyes in return ... if we simul-send them
snoopy369 says:
then you will have an unending pact that does not go away every 20 turns )
snoopy369 says:
Paddy says:
hehe - sending Dyes accepted this turn
Rhothaerill says:
No that's exactly what snoop is talking about not doing.
snoopy369 says:
okay, we may refuse them then unless we can counter with furs
Paddy says:
would you prefer we wait then
snoopy369 says:
i shall let rhoth explain
Paddy says:
ok, I will wait
Rhothaerill says:
Heh, okay give me a sec.
Rhothaerill says:
A mutual agreement is better. It has to do with game mechanics. I ran into this with Vox. If you send a per-turn agreement like a lux without getting something in turn it doesn't automatically renew and you have to spend a turn without that lux before you can get it back again. It caused a couple problems with Vox because I played happiness so tight to the vest.
Rhothaerill says:
I'd suggest just send it -unaccepted and then we will tack on furs and accept the deal. Then you can accept it on your turn and we have our deal and won't have to spend a turn every 20 without those luxes in place.
Paddy says:
ok
Paddy says:
excellent
Paddy says:
a pleasure doing business with you
Rhothaerill says:
Just some experience from other demogames.
Paddy says:
and a good one at that
snoopy369 says:
snoopy369 says:
how soon are you to currency?
Paddy says:
so mighty allies, I have had the Great Desolator on the phone to me several times in the last 48 hours
Paddy says:
Currency - we hope 5 - 9
Paddy says:
we have been buggering around with money over building units, and getting SoZ built
snoopy369 says:
oh i imagine
snoopy369 says:
lol Aqua is funny as usual?
Paddy says:
The Great Desolator got quite a shock to see our units across the other side of Metallica
snoopy369 says:
Well, no rush, we are 6 to constr i think
snoopy369 says:
hehe
snoopy369 says:
no embassy = no noticing the ROP
Paddy says:
Hoped I would attack and then let him clean the area
snoopy369 says:
ohh rofl
snoopy369 says:
thought you were at war with us?
Paddy says:
hehe
snoopy369 says:
you should have let him continue thinking that
snoopy369 says:
would have been funnier
Paddy says:
hopes we are
Paddy says:
I am
snoopy369 says:
ohhhh hehe
snoopy369 says:
you are trickier than i can imagine
snoopy369 says:

Paddy says:
could neither confirm or deny
snoopy369 says:
<< needs to sit down with poly smilies and add them all to the msn someday
Paddy says:
he honestly believes that the Horde is in a constant state of confusion - 15 members with big egos etc
Paddy says:
hehe
snoopy369 says:
ohhhh rofl
Paddy says:
he spend 30 mins trying to convince me that your inner kingdom must be empty, as he has calculations on your troop numbers, and knows where most of them are etc
Paddy says:
he then sent Masuro and Moonbars after me on msn messenger, each trying to get a full on allaince against you happening
snoopy369 says:
oh nice
Paddy says:
funny old duck that he is
Paddy says:
must kill aqua....
Paddy says:
must.....
snoopy369 says:
rofl, his calcs are as inaccurate as ljube's but still
snoopy369 says:
any calc based on strong:even:weak is +/- 10% automatically
Paddy says:
Horde is as always - resolute that the Desolators are evil.... they must be erradicated
snoopy369 says:
unless you somehow know that they aren't building units
snoopy369 says:
snoopy369 says:
Desolate ... as in salt plowed grounds
Paddy says:
Horde is 100% resolute that Bards friends and true allies from days when Horde only had few horse and small village
Paddy says:
Horde truely value friends
snoopy369 says:
We will sing praises of your horsemen for ever
Paddy says:
Horde proud of friendship with the people of the eternal music
snoopy369 says:
hehe
Paddy says:
Desolators are in for a world of hurt
snoopy369 says:
must someday invent an instrument easily played on horseback
Paddy says:
Desolator Trip is also back
snoopy369 says:
well in about 20 turns anyway
snoopy369 says:
oh interesting
snoopy369 says:
wonder what he has to say
snoopy369 says:
quick science thing btw ... i think it is safe to say that we wish to pursue feudalism and then chivalry with all abandon
Paddy says:
He was at Desolator War Council, with Desolator Aqua, Masuro & Moonbars
They met for near 5 hours last night my time
snoopy369 says:
innnnteresting
snoopy369 says:
irc?
Paddy says:
msn I believe
snoopy369 says:
ah
snoopy369 says:
cool
snoopy369 says:
let us know what your opinions are about how aggressively to pursue chivalry in the new age
Paddy says:
They are actively seeking out Desolator Sabrewolf, who has been away a bit.
so I exoect they will be all doing diplomacy and such in the coming weeks
Paddy says:
Chivalry... I will discuss with Horde
sounds good to me
snoopy369 says:
we have a lot of options:
1. One team research feudal + chivarly, at the maximum speed possible with +/- 0 taxes
2. One team rsch at max speed, other team support with cash
3. *BONUS* Get Babylon to next era free in exch for their free tech and hoping it will be Feudalism
snoopy369 says:
I personally support #2
snoopy369 says:
but we will need to discuss it ourselves ... want to give you the same options tho so you can see it
Rhothaerill says:
Remember we need monotheism for chivalry as well.
Paddy says:
Desolators very concerned that other nations get Medieveal Infantry, thus making Immortals not so good
snoopy369 says:
yes
snoopy369 says:
this is true ... forgot that
snoopy369 says:
that makes #3 more valuable
snoopy369 says:
as there's a 2/3 chance it will help us
snoopy369 says:
and if nothing else it makes your road travel faster (river skipping)
Paddy says:
between the 3 of us we should get there fast
snoopy369 says:
hmmm
Paddy says:
excellent
snoopy369 says:
we will discuss amongst ourselves, but you do so also and in a week or so we can discuss the options
Paddy says:
Desolators are hoping on Knights
snoopy369 says:
Rhoth do you remember what Babs need that we have?
Paddy says:
ok
snoopy369 says:
Isn't your UU a chivarly UU?
Paddy says:
brb - phone
snoopy369 says:
k
Rhothaerill says:
Nothing IIRC.
Rhothaerill says:
But I'll check.
snoopy369 says:
really
snoopy369 says:
hhhhhm
Rhothaerill says:
Well, construction soon.
snoopy369 says:
oh of course
snoopy369 says:
unless they have it already, which we wouldn't know unless they told us
Rhothaerill says:
Bit of difference in tech point costs though. Construction is 20, currency is 16. Feudalism is 36. Possibly we could do a three way trade and all three of us grab each tech.
Rhothaerill says:
Mono is 32 by the way.
snoopy369 says:
well
snoopy369 says:
i'm just figuring we give Cons+Curr to them, 1.5 free techs basically, and get whatever they get free
snoopy369 says:
they owe us a tech anywho don't forget
snoopy369 says:
the math they didn't get
Paddy says:
hello again
Paddy says:
our UU is in Chivalry
Rhothaerill says:
Whoops I had it backwards. Feudal is 32 tech points, mono and engineering are both 36
Paddy says:
Keshik 4/2/2 Cav
Paddy says:
I f I remember correctly you have libraries
so thus would it then be best if we pumped gold at you for research
Paddy says:
as we set up barracks for war etc
snoopy369 says:
I don't think we have libraries?
Rhothaerill says:
No.
snoopy369 says:
a bit unusual for me but still
Paddy says:
ahh
Rhothaerill says:
Wartime footing
Rhothaerill says:
Not cheap for us anyway.
Paddy says:
I have a note here from 2800bc that you were building libraries
Paddy says:
ok
snoopy369 says:
we were using them for prebuilds i think
Paddy says:
old notes
Paddy says:
excellent
snoopy369 says:
we'll look at scientific specifics when the time comes just figured we'd start the conversation now so we have a ready answer
snoopy369 says:
we can see what Beta thinks as well
snoopy369 says:
shall send the olde chap a message
Paddy says:
good
Paddy says:
would like to have another Three Nation Alliance Summit soon
Rhothaerill says:
Oh shoot, I keep forgetting to declare war on him like I said I was going to at the beginning of the game.
Paddy says:
hehehe
Paddy says:
so any chance of letting us in on your plans for the Desolators
Paddy says:
I have an idea is all
Rhothaerill says:
The intention right now is to pound their city from a place of strong defense. We don't have many horses so we can't go in for the really fun manuevers I usually like.
Rhothaerill says:
If they take the bait for the trap I set this turn then so much the better as it will eliminate 4 of their vet immortals with the risk of only a few of our spears (if the RNG cooperates of course
Paddy says:
hehe
Paddy says:
which city are you attacking?
Rhothaerill says:
Invictus to start. After that we'll play it by ear.
Paddy says:
good
Paddy says:
that will gut them
Paddy says:
where are you from Invictus now?
Rhothaerill says:
Invictus and Sidon (and Antioch) are far enough from each other that they will have to really split their forces to handle both of our armies.
Paddy says:
yes
Paddy says:
a lovely step
Rhothaerill says:
3 turns away depending on whethery they block us or not.
Paddy says:
so n/e then
Rhothaerill says:
Yep
Paddy says:
near the gems?
Rhothaerill says:
err, sorry nw
Paddy says:
just looking for my own sake
Paddy says:
near the desert?
Rhothaerill says:
Yeah
Paddy says:
ok
Paddy says:
so to them you could be going either way
snoopy369 says:
oops sorry my start bar went away and i got posting on a topic
Paddy says:
ok
Rhothaerill says:
Yes.
snoopy369 says:
looks like rhoth had it under control
Paddy says:
Rhothaerill says:
We could still easily make a run right at their capital. It would be foolish at the moment, but we'll let them think we're thinking of it.
Paddy says:
good
Paddy says:
best that Aqua is off set in what is going on
Rhothaerill says:
If only we had more horses I could really give him a few things to think about.
Paddy says:
he knows we have a force of swords and archers out there
Desolator Dave (warrior) was following them at times - a main reason he is gone
so DR will also have to contend with where are they
Paddy says:
Bring on the Babs
Paddy says:
I provided the Babs with a full list of maps to get their forces into the area undetected
Paddy says:
and we have scouts ready to further assist them in that
Paddy says:
also they have a horse out scouting the roads ahead as well
snoopy369 says:
your horses are very much appreciated
Paddy says:
They are on their way
Paddy says:
It was with Honour that the first Regiment to move into your lands, is my own "Khan's faithfuls"
snoopy369 says:
hehe
snoopy369 says:
they are a great bunch
snoopy369 says:
i will need to go now ... have a few turns to play and then sleep
snoopy369 says:
thanks for the talk i shall post this and we shall have discussions amongst ourselves
Paddy says:
thank you both for this chat
Rhothaerill says:
Thank you too.

McMeadows says:
hope cooperation has improved... happy horde?
Paddy says:
Horde very happy
very!!!
McMeadows says:
OK
Paddy says:
Thank you for your assistance in that
McMeadows says:
no worries.... mutual goals and you and me have put a lot of effort in it.. must kill... anyway,... what does the horde think now?
Paddy says:
now - not sure, I have just got here. we need your troops moved I think! so our lads can march on sidon this turn
I needto cheack maps soon
McMeadows says:
Can I make a suggestion?
Paddy says:
please do
McMeadows says:
I haven't checked your troops, but I just have an itching feeling Sidon is virtually undefended. A fast raid with a few horsemen will most probably be sufficient. Otherwise they can scout....
Paddy says:
yes indeed. Ljube and I agree. aqua will probably attack you this turn
McMeadows says:
To benefit from that most efficiently, it would seem to be best to have you counter while their troops are still occupied with us...
Paddy says:
indeed. the DR stack must have lots of their troops
McMeadows says:
To have DR attack us, fortified on a mountain is the best defending position we can have... With you in the counter, we don't mind losing some units
Paddy says:
it sure is. it will be messy, but yes the benfits will be awesome
McMeadows says:
And now you maybe understand what Snoopy was aiming at..
Paddy says:
my concrn is if LB has a force in their in defence
yes I see
McMeadows says:
He ment well, just expressed himself a bit unfortunate
Paddy says:
yes, and late
McMeadows says:
as in we allready discussed that?
Paddy says:
indeed
McMeadows says:
partly my fault, as has been mentioned
Paddy says:
partly mine as well
McMeadows says:
is in the past...

Paddy says:
I have a question
are you allowed to play the EoD save?
as A-M have it, and thus could play anytime, yet Rhoth is sound asleep and thus will not play until home from his work tomorrow night his time - approx 18 hours
yeah I just eager, no dramas if you can not
Told him I can if the save is there. Also mentioned that we hadn't talked about next turn among us.
Paddy says:
this coming turn we will go to New Battle Rendezvous Point - at "U2" 8
Paddy says:
The Wanderers (sword 3/3) - at "Metallica" 8,9
Hammerhead (sword 3/3) - at "Metallica" 8,9
Scarface (swords 4/4) - at "Metallica" 8,9
Long Blades (swords 4/4) - at "Metallica" 8,9
Cardial Crusher (swords 4/4) - at "Metallica" 8,9
Devourer of Light (swords 4/4) - at "Metallica" 8,
Miss Watcher (spearwoman 3/3) - at "Metallica" 8,9
Redwench (spearwoman 4/4) - at "Metallica" 8,9
Hot Lips (spearwoman 4/4) - at "Metallica" 8,9
Bongolian Royal Red Guards (horseman 4/4) - at "Metallica" 8,9
Stormhoof (horseman 5/5) - at "Metallica" 8,9
The Eingana Princesses of Ta-Tu (horseman 4/4) - at "Metallica" 8,9
Black Lightning (horseman 5/5) - at "Metallica" 8,9
Bloodsteed (horseman 4/4) - on road to bards
Soothsayer's Savages (horseman 5/5) - on road to bards
there are also 2 more horse on their way
Far Striker (archer 4/4) - at "Metallica" 8,9
Bloodshaft (archer 4/4) - at "Metallica" 8,9
Then On turn 1450 BC all units at New Battle Rendezvous Point - at "U2" 8 move 3-3-2, become visible to the DR and within striking distance of Sidon 8-8.
We call this: "Operation Sidon Takeaway"
McMeadows says:
I was just wondering how much longer as we're getting catapults on our head
Paddy says:
welll to the timetable. 2 catapult shots... hehehe
McMeadows says:
It might just get to a point that they'll come down on us with the bunch
Paddy says:
maybe
McMeadows says:
not an option to move in with the horsemen 1 turn ahead?
Paddy says:
No, then possibly loose them. Maddness. we have an army for a reason
McMeadows says:
If Sidon is empty you owe me a subway
Paddy says:
Hehehe, may I pass on some info from RGO?
McMeadows says:
If you leave them 2 tiles from Sidon, only horsemen can attack them. 1st of all, there's no way they;ll have that many stationed there, 2nd, they'll be slaughtered by the swordsmen that are coming up behind
Paddy says:
We suggest that Bards pull their forces out. Aqua can't possibly make it in time with his immortals.
to Sidon
McMeadows says:
I would like to retreat indeed. We'll be back when Sidon is gone and you're moving towards Antioch
…..
Ljube says:
Sidon empty? right now?
McMeadows says:
indeed... I think it will be
Paddy says:
has 1 spear min
Ljube says:
definitely
McMeadows says:
I wonder
Ljube says:
maybe a couple of horses too. I would keep horses in there, if I were aqua
McMeadows says:
makes sense now that they have halted us
Ljube says:
yes, ok I suggest you pull out to avoid losses
Paddy says:
Tropical Fish (spearma 4/4) in Sidon
McMeadows says:
if you had been able to come a little earlier, I bet they had moved everything to the east Is AM still on the mountain? or again...
Ljube says:
I think on a hill, but near anyway. AM are very valuable.
McMeadows says:
near enough to have a view
Paddy says:
I do not see them with pic I took
McMeadows says:
incredible,... I thought they would take the opportunity to attack you in the back
Ljube says:
hehe, we are too strong for anything like that, our interior is not undefended
McMeadows says:
still, helping us is the other end of the spectrum..!
Ljube says:
they have their own agenda I guess. to stay out of trouble for as long as they can. after all, they can switch to republic and grow. if they keep this attitude. OK, back to Sidon, you know our plans, please keep the roads free for two more turns. In 1475 we will move our entire force to the position 8 from U2. In 1450 we will move our entire force together with a couple of horses that will catch up to the position 8-8 from Sidon . at that moment our force will become visible, consisting of 19 units, 8 of them horses. On 1425 Sidon falls or is destroyed
McMeadows says:
and then it's on to Antioch..
Ljube says:
yes, more units will come to join our forces including the first ancient cavalry But attack on Antioch will come after recovery of our units. Might take some time, so they may build up their defences.
McMeadows says:
Come on...
Ljube says:
Again I see the city of Aquarius and the horse resource as the key element of Aqua's position. I wonder where the babs are
McMeadows says:
You're coming in with an insane amry and you're going to delay it?
Paddy says:
I have news on the babs
Ljube says:
let's hear
Paddy says:
they have started to gather at a point to the south of "The Furnace"
Ljube says:
yeah, a bit late though
Paddy says:
they will be several more turns gathering
yes indeed, but the hope was to be a force of cleaning up loose units. it gives us an ace up our sleeves
McMeadows says:
indeed... just to finish it off
Ljube says:
Not much use of the babs. The battle is probably going to be over by teh time they arrive. OK Mac, Antioch is still some time in the future, so let's discuss your stack and your plans now.
McMeadows says:
If ANtioch is in the distant future there's no need to discuss our plans
Paddy says:
why?
McMeadows says:
What do we need to do if you're retreating?? get slaughtered?
Paddy says:
we could not hit it in the next 4 turns - 100 years
McMeadows says:
Ljube says:
We're not retreating, we're containing them, so should you
Paddy says:
who said retreating
goodness, healing after a battle is not retreating. would you really press on with a damaged army
McMeadows says:
There's probably no need for it... But ok... might take an extra 2 turns. Then it's Antioch I presume?
Paddy says:
maybe, we have not got there yet
McMeadows says:
We'll be there in the east. If they pull out troops towards you we move in
Ljube says:
OK, that's good. Are you now outside of their borders? This is because Aqua is bragging about taking hit points off your spears so I was wondering if they are healing. Also, if you plan to bring more spears and archers to make it more difficult for aqua to even consider an attack on your stack. Moving your stack down taht hill is perceived in teh Horde as a suicide move.
McMeadows says:
Rhot has done some indeep analyses on that as well.. we know. The DR stack is on a mountain 8 from Invictus, we are 88 now, but we might retreat a bit
Ljube says:
Are you inside their territory? We don't see that part so don't know. Could be a problem with their catapults if they have more of them. They could consider an attack then.
Paddy says:
Mac has givejn us the latest pic. and Rhoth
Ljube says:
OK, sorry mac, I'll check it out
Paddy says:
The pics are very helpful
Ljube says:
indeed they are. OK mac, I see you are out of their territory. could you hold that mountain for one more turn? Or do you fear an attack?
McMeadows says:
Aqua is hitting us with 1 cat atm, hope they're not wheeling in to many soon. I fear they might attack soon enough and we'll be out of stack once more
Ljube says:
Yes, so do you want to pull out? Why hasn't aqua attacked last turn? Is he trying to negotiate with you?
McMeadows says:
I think he's counting our defensestrength. There'll be a point where he thinks it's acceptable to attack
Paddy says:
They count every detail.
Ljube says:
hmm, based on what?
Paddy says:
Remember Aqua is a tax accountant by trade
Ljube says:
hehehe
Paddy says:
He has battle calculators and such
they even have a rng component
McMeadows says:
that's what I mean. they're chopping of hitpoints now. there's a point of attack
Ljube says:
aren't your lads recovering? are your units healing? I thought they were.
McMeadows says:
should be...
Ljube says:
then, the danger of an attck this turn is same as it was last turn. are you reinforcing the stack?
McMeadows says:
no...
Ljube says:
hmm
McMeadows says:
not any time soon
Ljube says:
hmm
McMeadows says:
we're building forces..
Ljube says:
do you want to swing your forces toward Marcopolis? Or do you want to move your stack 7? Or stay? It's your decision after all.
McMeadows says:
I'm thinking of 7, but don't know what the group is thinking. if there's no damage we might stay
Ljube says:
Yes, once Sidon falls, tehy are going to have to move immortals. or capitulate. You see, we have 3 elite horses in our stack. there is a fair chance we can get a military leader. if we do get one, we'll build a sword army and press on. nothing will stop us then.
McMeadows says:
if no ML, I would say there's still enough reason to press on as well
Paddy says:
Indeed. must kill aqua.... my story has not changed. Horden are strong and determined in our resolve. We may be many, but we are One Horde.
Ljube says:
Yes we are
McMeadows says:
Ok, I just wanted to point out that we're attracting units, which is the plan, but we're not waiting everlasting to get slaughtered in the end.
Ljube says:
May I propose you swing 6 if you fear the DR might attack you
McMeadows says:
I'll have it evaluated
Ljube says:
and worry not about our part, we are ready to attack and destroy our mutual enemies
McMeadows says:
I know your intentions, but sometimes I wonder how many insurances you want...
Paddy says:
we are marching
Ljube says:
indeed we are. firmly
McMeadows says:
we'll celebrate in Inner Sanctum eventually...
Ljube says:
OK, so for the purpose of keeping your forces alive, if you feel that aqua might attack next turn, do move them, either 7 or 6 to threaten marcopolis. if there is no road 9 from Invictus, I can't see in the picture
McMeadows says:
there is a road to Invictus 8 , the mountain with the stack
Ljube says:
yes, and 9, 9 of invictus?
McMeadows says:
not that I know... have no map at hand...
Ljube says:
ok, than moving your stack 6 would potentially threaten marcopolis and move it out of harm's way. It also offers a triangulation, a manoeuvre known from chess
Ljube says:
6-8-4
McMeadows says:
We're all a bit anxious to get to the real action
Paddy says:
hehehe well said

Good conversation.
First, I don't have a problem with you playing the save before I get to it. If you do, just make sure to check the micromanaging in AbbA. I have been switching back and forth between giving it 2 food and 3 food for optimal 4-turn growth. I haven't made any WF plans for next turn yet as I've been doing it turn by turn so far.
Second, movement of our stack. Our highest defensive capability is where we currently are right now, fortified on a mountain. We are indeed healing our forces from the catapult shots so they cannot get us too far down unless they start bringing in more cats.
But that said, I don't have a problem with moving 6. With that many DR units facing us I'd rather move that way than move 3 to the other mountain as our defense goes from 5 to 4 without fortifying. That move to 3 could be what DR is waiting for. Moving 6 gives us lesser defense, but is out of their strike range for their immortals (not their horses if they have any in Invictus, though we'll still have 3 defense on the hill). Depending on where they move the next turn will be when we must decide whether to break cover on to the grassland where we are most vulnerable.
My personal recommendation, assuming BOH gets in position as stated above, stay where we are one more turn. We keep DR's units there for a turn. Then we move and they must decide to move too. Perhaps they will move to the other mountain to attack us in which case they will be completely unable to fortify their positions around Sidon. But whether they move then or not, we have kept them busy long enough for them to lose Sidon and realize the true threat of our alliance with BOH. Then they must make their decision to either go all out for us or split their forces. Either way they lose.
