Sorry, but no. Those terms are not uncommon in the NorthEast. Especially around youth soccer pitches.

What do I know, I'm just a dumb colonial. I didn't even know they were rivals until I was almost 40.

I like Spurs and Rovers for their names (and maybe Spurs a bit for Gazza) and I like Arsenal because I saw them playing on the tube when I was a kid.

Spurs and Rovers may be cool, but the Gunners own my allegiance.

Our squad then wasn't as good as the current one. Then we had a realatively good first eleven, although only 4 or 5 were really world class, and potentially one of the best midfields in the competition but we were really struggling with the left side of the team and we had very little backup in the squad. If anyone was injured the player coming in was significantly worse. Also quite a few of those players in the 2000 squad were well past their best.

Now we have one of the best midfields in the world, Gerrard and Lampard are two of Europes best and most consitent midfielders. We've got one of the best defences - it's possible that Sir John Terry might not even make the team because Campbell and Ferdinand are even better and two world class forwards in Owen and Rooney, plus we actually have really good cover in pretty much every position.

Basically this current squad dumps all over the 2000 squad, and they have a low average age so will only get better.

But there are plenty of other good squads out there in the world.
