Down to a single damaged ship, Danq's squadron took to air for a final fight. There was some strafing done as the planes tried to keep Cosmos' maneuvered torpedoes from getting a free shot.

Yes. You're definitely going down, but he might go down with you. He basically gets a free shot with Torpedos and then a shot with Torpedos on your lasers.

How come he loses Lasers in round 12? With his Fighters gone doesn't it revert to the start of his OoB (or should I say your orders of battle ) therefore Torpedos?

I can't answer that directly, but the spreadsheet that Smiley and I both use (i think he uses anyway) has predicted every stage to this point, and it predicts as you say, some slight loss of torpedoes as a result of the last battle..

Don't worry the spreadsheet is accurate, it's just errors get made when I'm reading it.

Round 14... Cosmos' fleet is finally turned into dust but the battle's not over.

You've had the damage numbers right each time, anyway, so I'd assume you have everything else right. It *is* getting late, and a quite long battle after all, so i'd forgive you anything

Yeah, I realize as i'm doing this that it's not very clear what is getting damaged each time. Next time perhaps i'll try to make it show the damaged ships directly rather than round-to-round... sort of hard, though certainly not impossible.

Cosmos' final blow wiped out Danq's few surviving lasers. The Battle for Coruscant was finally over, as was 60% of the Fleet of the Republic.

This one would have been 14 as well, if 14 were possible (as sparrow is destroyed in the 14th round.), but always battles are in mult. of 3 now.

Unclear, depends on how you count. I'm unclear on whether the 3-round rule was in effect during the sandman-LN battle; if it was, then both were 15 but rd15 was meaningless in that one, whereas it's meaningful here; up to you how to count that.

I'd count this one as 5 waves, which to me is more relevant way of counting now that waves are always fought in their entirety.
