Thinning the ranks of the Starfleet officers, I have ordered Dr. Bashir to be injected with the tainted hypospray, as had all his previous victims. Now we can only hope to have finally rid ourselves of the spineless killer within our midst. It is no wonder the investigation has been stymied when the very person in charge of the analysis has been behind it from the very beginning.

The remainder of the starfleet officers agree with my stance, given that any compassion, may well result in our deaths. It is sad that all who remain, are myself, and Jadzia. Chief O'Brien though starfleet, is not an officer, and Constable Odo is neither starfleet nor an officer.

Compassion for those who have betrayed you is an odd starfleet virtue, it puzzles me almost as much as altruism, to assist those who are your enemies rather than punishing them as they deserve.

Chief Officer's Log - Lieutenant commander Worf:

I continue to find a theme, that the killer enjoys framing the chief officers, by killing the person that is closest to them. After insisting that the murderer had to be a starfleet officer, I find that I am the only one remaining.

Jadzia is dead, along with her symbiont, Dax, as lacking a proper medical officer and a trill, we unable to transfer the symbiont to another host.

I fear I will end up victim to my own desire, my own haste in condemning Dr. Bashir to death, and killing an innocent without trial.

If those who remain wish to spare me, I would be very grateful. The cleverness of this killer astounds me, I would almost suspect him to have the lobes for intrigue which I lack as subtlety has never been a Klingon strong point.
