I did the thread a favor! I call it 'football' and you have a bunch of idiot posting pictures of American football and the discussion, instead of focusing on leagues, focuses on which is the better sport. I wanted to avoid any of that.
In other news, it seems Milan Baros has blasted Rafa Benitez for subbing him so much... yeah, like that's a good move. Look for Cisse to start in the CL Final and Baros to hardly get a chance.
Btw, speaking of English "heart":

LONDON, May 11 (Reuters) - Wigan Athletic striker Jason Roberts fired the northern club into the Premier League playing with a broken leg.
Roberts scored and set up another as Wigan, who were only elected to the Football League in 1978, clinched second place and automatic promotion with a 3-1 home victory over Reading on Sunday.
'I fractured my fibia early in the game and it's going to take six weeks to recover,' Roberts told The Independent newspaper.
'I'm going to go home to Grenada and relax. But I'm confident I'll be fit for the start of the season.'
Roberts scored 21 goals this season as Wigan, bank-rolled by Dave Whelan, the multi-millionaire head of the JJB sports retail empire, finished seven points behind champions Sunderland. |

Next time just call it football. If idiots start posting we'll just ignore 'em... Plus the term world football is pretty much a dead giveaway of what the topic of the thread is, it's not like anyone outside the US plays American football (no, NFL Germany Europe doesn't count since aside from a few token Europeans to keep the home crowds happy, those are all Americans)...
Anyway, it seems the Dutch are not completely incapable of winning semi-finals The Dutch U17 squad won the semi-final of the EC against Italy yesterday (with Italy being the home team and after a 0-0 score at the 90 minute mark -- sweet, sweet revenge ) It was a great match, from the Dutch side anyway. The Italians played in their usual horrible style, and they didn't even do it well. At one point even the (entirely Italian) crowd started to cheer for the Dutch: "Olanda! Olanda!" The final will be against Turkey, who also have a great attacking team (probably better than the Dutch -- they're already called the new Portugal), so that promises to be a fantastic match. For those in Europe: Saturday, 19:00 CET, Eurosport.
Dutch youth teams usually suck arse, this is the furthest they've ever come. With the U20 team being one of the favourites for next month's world cup (which is held here in the Netherlands), and the new generation of the senior team still undefeated as well (granted, only after 9 matches or so and not with the best football in the world), things are certainly looking to be headed in the right direction for Dutch football...
