Well in the case of Spain, they were able to cause enough terror that they swayed the vote in the elections, forcing Spain to pull out of Iraq, and thus achieving what they set out to do.
I don't think that will happen with England.
So I think this one is a battle won, but the war's not over. |
First, i didnt notice the slighty sign of terror in Spain after 11M. It was even unnecesary to hide the images of deaths and such to people to avoid histery. But I noticed a lot of indignation towards Aznar saying it was ETA (he says so even today) when it was obvious for everybody it was AQ.
Second, to invade iraq was a victory for terrorism. I agree Spain going out of iraq was a defeat, a defeat for people as you of course. I congratulate spain for it. OTOH it was a victory for people, which opposed totally to iraq invasion since the first day and was ignored by Aznar.
Third, if you think that terrorists attacking succesfully London how y when they wish is a battle won then i dont know why am i losing my time with you.

now that's understandable. but the ones in spain werent. there they made a miscalculation here ethically it is more than justified. atlhough theorietically people in iraq and other places shouldnt die and its terrible when they do.
