I think we have to maintain good relations with Spartans as long as we are prepared for vendetta with them. We do not know their forces nor their placement.
I will do some patrol for mid save.

Darn didn't notice Morgan has Superstring.
And of course doesn't have Plan Econ.

Meanwhile the midsave having two Spartan bases scouted:
Fort Sol has
3 B4
3 B6
2 police
1 probe team
This is an invasion force and it is ready to Strike our territory.
Now I see, that what we lost was the opportunity to defend Lal. He was our Pactmate, and although AI, we should defend him for our own security. Spartans have now a place to assemble more easily their offensive forces. Good lesson for the future.
Let us see what will come out of this.
I would withdraw both bombers all the way back.
Put 2 F-6 in MP. GL ones back to EM.
----
On the other hand. They may just regain strength after taking over the PK so few turns back. So it is not necessarily an invasion force. Spartans are supposed to have more units. We have to play adequatelly, let us discuss as long as we can.

The experience of units in other teams' bases can be checked by simply selecting them when a unit of ours is adjacent, even if no infiltration is active.
Just did, 2 B4 commando's, 3 B6 veterans and 1 B4 disciplined, some are 10% damaged.
So I approve of your switching plans in the post above.
Following unit move suggestions:
- The Sol scout to returns to 6.68 first, and then to or 7.65, or 6.72. If a Spartan scout is in the area it looks like regular seapatrol.
- The Defiance scout to 7.51->9.51->9.49
- The 23.71 drop probe to Enigma.
- The 29.47 probe foil to 34.50, with air the aircover that is already on it's way.
- The 62.56 probe foil to 58.50.
- Switch the Googlieplex and Timberland probes with one another.
- Let's move the missile infantry towards Heavens Gate.
- We might consider upgrading the Mart Pact plasma garrison to an AAA garrison. 30 ec's if enough cash is left.
- Let's switch RPS and Snowflakes' Thinkers to Engineers. I know it's less efficient, but gives us 93 ec's net next year instead of 75. Research will finish in 2 turns anyway.
- Good idea on the LIT, didn't notice at first those 2 formers could help the borehole, had assumed they would work on 24.64 (the new cleaned ridge tile).
And our probe foils are busy atm with the Hive. First let's see how much survive the experience, and perhaps construct a number of probe cruisers after their 'job' is done. Much better material to work with then.
O yes, I'm ok with the empath chopper trolling the fungus around the Fungal Tower. More chance of encountering native life there (whether it be land -or sea). All tiles around it are fungal, so is should spawn eventually.

With option "always investigate monolith" OFF, I got probe team repaired. Nasty bug, but I know what went wrong. Sorry...

Endsave.
I turned drop-AAA to Gaians. We would do it probably anyway. that is drop ability they need also.
