We will play the turn tomorrow (9. August) during the (US) early afternoon. Our team is a bit spread out at the moment, and we have serious matters to discuss, as you are well aware. We generally do not take significant time, so I'm sure you can forgive us this once.

We did not have time to discuss anything during EPW's delay, as we did not know what we would receive on our turn.

Meh,

people need to be alot cooler about this game,

as Bill and Ted say, be excellent to one another.

Play the save as fast as you can.... and consider other peoples desire to keep the game going quickly and other teams need to take a while sometimes.

Still remember the warning above... within 48 hours at least...

if anyone needs to contact me at any time I'm on MSN as dwyerowen {ta} hotm...... even if just to say hello.

O.K,

Save got to me, too late for me to even think about playing (with screenshots and all).

Then, yesterday, I had to go somewhere, after work and didn't get home until 1:30 AM.

Tonight, I was thinking that Kloreep would be playing it, but he's not even online. And I have a very Important Job interview, early tomorrow, that I need to be ready for, so I won't be playing this tonight.

If it's not played by when I get back (sometime in Mid to late afternoon), then I'll play this.

Sorry about it.

Snoop, I've heard Ctrl-Q will have the desired effect, and is more painless than going through the motions. After all, you're merely opening the turn and disbanding cities as it is, right?

Perhaps soon the game speed may return to normal levels

Only thing that I can think of, is that DR played the save that OPD had set them. ANd he used the Admin password to access it and changed that password.

The thing is, that DR should have been able to play the one that I had sent them, as they didn;'t sent theirs to 1889 until approx 1/2 hour before he posted that he had sent it.

DR didn;t post that they had sent the save, so I wasn't sure which one they had played. I had specifially asked him (1889), via PM and he told me the above.

There might be a problem here.

Yeah, I didn't know about it, until I had gotten an e-mail from Beta about it (right after getting home and checking e-mail).

He had also copied in OPD and Kloreep and I had responded, right before posting here.

I did indeed play the save that OPD sent me.

It was my evening when I checked my email and saw the save from OPD (and none from Babylon). I then played the save. When I came to send it however, I found that my ISP had mysteriously crashed - a fact to which Paddy will testify since I was chatting with him on MSN and then disappeared, and sent him an SMS explaining that I couldn't get back online. It being rather late, I then went to bed and when I awoke the next morning I sent the save.

By this time of course (as I later discovered) ET had sent the save to me, but I had already played and sent the save that OPD had sent to me.

So a rather lengthy explanation, but that's what happened

Yep - it seems we have a problem. We cannot access the save.

Also - given E_T's explanantion of the timing of the save, coupled with Aqua's ISP problems, it looks like the 'skipped' save got played.

May I suggest that DR replay E_T's 'played' save, to get the game going again, and to save us the disadvantage of a 'skipped' turn.
