The replay is currently with us, but it is going to be held up while we discuss the following.

DR changed their move - at least one unit - from the first to the second save, and I'd like to know why. A horseman who was in the first save on a hill (for better vantage?) is now no longer there (with the stack?).

I'm not sure if it matters, in the short or long run - but my understanding is that with replays like this, one is supposed to not take advantage of the replay to get a better view of the map.

It affects our play, and may affect a significant set of actions on our part (as the horseman is presumably now in a superior position in terms of motility).

I'll play the save tomorrow, once this is resolved.

Edit: Just to clarify - it's not in an area that I would think Babylon's move change could possibly have affected, but that's why I'm asking

Considering that Babylon got to change all their moves by this replay and the area in question has probably already been revealed in one of Paddy's screen shots, I think your excuse is quite lame.

I dont think we were trying to get a better view of the map, we've seen all those tiles already. Possibly we'd have seen the lack of Euphorican units in the area, but we already knew that as well.

I dont know what hill you mean however as I didn't play along with Aqua the first time - I was not actually aware there had been a replay.

If it matters a huge amount to you, in so much as you will take a different course of action, I can replay the save right now, and have MSN'd you to see if you want me to do this, but you have not as yet replied.

[EDIT - turns out it wasnt the hill I thought it would be - all good now.]

Ok guys, let's not panic. The simple truth is, I don't regularly take screenshots of where our units end up after a turn is played, so I just forgot I had moved the Horseman in question to wherever Snoopy says he was. I can't even remember what he saw the first time

Anyway, as I think Moonbars has replayed the turn while I was offline, I believe the issue is finally resolved and we might all get a fresh turn soon

The change necessitates a discussion with my team, because it actually changed the potential offensive ability of DR in relation to our cities. I will play the save sometime tomorrow, but probably late tomorrow as I work an odd shift.

I MSN'd both of you when I replayed, but I guess u were both away

If that was our original move, have you not had the discussion already? Your 24 hours started at 8:48 GMT yesterday, so you have another 9 hours from the time of this post to play it on-time. Let's get this game moving!

these things happen Paddy. There is now no point in OPD giving the babs the new password, as Euphorica has a prefectly good save now, that includes the original version of DR's move and babylon (not OPD) got to play their turn.

The current save with Euphorica is the right one.

No it shouldn't,

you should just make the same moves you made last time, this is exactly what you just requested DR do and what DR did do, I personally told moonbars which unit to move and where to move it yesterday so that their moves were the same as last time, discussion implies you're going to do something different?

If all teams can just play through their moves as quickly as possible, just do the same thing you did last time, unless it is directly related to Babylon's moves - you'll know if this is the case.

This isn't that big a deal, just remeber the spirit of the game and fairness and all that, then play your moves accordingly.
As the complaints officer where I work says,

"don't let this snowball into a serious issue"

just play through and get on with things.

Anyway I'm off to China for 3 weeks, so long.

As Moonbars says.....if we were forced to go back and replay our moves exactly the same way, why should you need a team discussion snoop? Just play your moves exactly the same way as you did before. Otherwise you raise suspicions that you will do something different.

Just email them the new password..... although I think I might have babylons password somewhere.....

anyway, play on from the last save snoopy sent, he must not have got the new one from DR. I looked at the save snoopy has played and he's made a few moves different, but nothing that doesn't really matter. Game on!

I see, so Snoopy makes a big fuss over a Horseman we supposedly moved differently, and somehow is able to then move a bunch of units differently to how he did the first time, even after being asked explicitly several times to just repeat his earlier moves.

What a farce

stop it
you have moved some units differently *accidently* and Euphorica have done the same *intentionally*.

If we are going to talk the same I might have made some different movements or city builds, or wf positions. But OPD obviously is watching and comparing both versions of the save. He said there is no big difference, so let's move on.

The only happy player should be Krill after all - he was absent for two weeks and he missed only one turn. To say it otherwise - we have played exactly 1 turn for the past 2 weeks.

I just wanted to know what Euphorica is doing - did they play the original save, the replay with the differently moved horse, or the one I sent them? Did they receive the save I sent them?

I want the game to move as well Ormuzd, but not if Euphirca are re-writing history on purpose. I doubt that is what they did - more likely they didnt get my resend, and played the latest save they did have, so as not to have their turn skipped waiting for me to resend the resend (I have not had any delivery failures yet however)

I'm happy that you dont mind what happens with the DR or E turns, but then you are not at war with each other like we are, so perhaps we have a higher concern, and more right, to decide what happens over this.
