$2.68 a gallon.. that would be roughly DKK 4.25 per litre; it just went past DKK 10.00 per litre here.

Or to ease intercontinental understanding, roughly $6.35 a gallon.

Not only do those damn fereners have it in their ferener currency, but they have it in liters...

it's hard enough trying to figure out how much gas costs in other countries with the currency being different, let alone having to deal with that metric system crap!

Europe is different. If you don't have a car in America you are ****ed.

And a lot of the extra price in Europe comes from taxes that go back to the citizens in the form of increased government services...

I don't get it. I can drive a half hour and hit two oil refineries (Cross Oil, Smackover; Lion Oil, El Dorado, IIRC). Shouldn't it be a little cheaper then?

My $6.35 per gallon figure applies approximately to alva's numbers as well.

I support the rising cost in gasoline if it forces those Hummer idiots to downsize. Maybe people in general will be more conscientious of how they use their precious gasoline.

I passed 3 gas stations this morning, they were all at $2.53/gallon. This afternoon, two of them were at $2.63/gallon while the third was up to $2.73/gallon.

In Europe, gas is about the same price as beer.

In America, gas is much cheaper than beer.

I was told that tomorrow gas in my area would jump to over 3$ a gallon. We'll see if that comes to pass.

I agree that higher gas prices will Force people to buy cars with much better gas millage. Also a lot of car makers are starting to use hybrid technology is a lot of their car models. If car makers could start using hybrid tech in all their cars, it could doulbe overall MPG of the existing cars.
