I think in the long term we got the better end of that deal...

We did for a while, before the English wars.

wow, you even had Taiwan, part of New Zeland and some island in the north (I don;t know what for, though)
Oh, and I must find a map of dutch settlements in Major Poland. |
Yeah, we had trading posts or small colonies in places few people know about. Japan, China, Spitsbergen (that's the island in the Arctic), we even had trading posts across the Middle East (this map doesn't even show all of them). Luxembourg was Dutch until about 100 years ago (and they couldn't even be arsed to pick a new flag when they finally became independent ).

Well we have NZ in its current form. I think at the beginning of WWII we landed a boat on samoa and took it off the germans, so technically we had that too.

Now now, if you want a map of 'greater Israel' as in 'the maximum interpretation of bibleic promises', that would be it. However, this has never been a part of any political platform of any political party, before the creation of Israel, or after it, so it's meaningless to debate this. I am sure Hertzel may have envisioned something like that, but this isn't really wrong since at the time this was bordering science fiction, much like the creation of Israel, altogether. 'sides, at the time , the population of the region was sparse enough, and the jewish population was large enough, to consider the territory basically unoccupied. Now if you want to debate real political 'greater Israel' maps, dig one up.
