If you'll see the territory I pointed out, and will see it's population, and compare it with the jewish population of the world, you'll see I am completely right. Hertzel was a liberal (old meaning of the word) and envisaged the arabs living as a national minority, with rights and obligations similar to models he has seen in europe. You can see this in his works of fiction which can be considered the basis of the centrist zionist thought ( which was luckily marginalized by the labor movement, but sadly made a comeback in the last 20 years ). If you see the work in the context of the geopolitical situation and realities at the time, the creation of such a society would definetly have been a great deed of positive ethical value, alas this wasn't destined to be - since the superpowers certainly had no interest in this, and niether did the jews of western europe.

How about one of the areas Greece held + tried to take after WWI? You came close to actually suceeding with it, but took too big a bite.

It's very interesting that the north-west coast of Greenland is a very British pink. This is confirmation of the legitimacy of the Canadian claim on the map I posted earlier.

Or it's confirmation of the Britsh inability to make proper maps even at the turn of the last century.

It seems almost as if we could make a competition: find a city in the Balkans not claimed by at least two countries. This would not be easy

By the way of which:
I find it annoying that so many years after the fall of communism, some haven't noticed that there's no USSR, no Yugoslavia (the original one), the Tchechoslovakia, and they print leaflets and other stuff with maps 16 years old

Well, obviously core regions of any country are likely to be uncontested (not in case of Macedonia, though). But border areas and remote regions in the Balkans are very likely to be eyed by the neighbours... perhaps waiting for the right moment? Take Solun/Thesaloniki. It is on at least three maps in this thread: Greek, Macedonian and Bulgarian. And it's only three, because the Turkish map hasn't been posted yet
