Che and I have already decided to work together. If you want to become involved, you should join us as well. We use ICQ as our communications implement.

On an organizational note, we could call ourselves the “Wonder Team” to not confuse the community about the products and updates. I prefer this instead of modifying a individuals release.

Attached is a sample of what I have in mind for a revision layout when all replacement images are acquired. The reasoning is simple if our primary goal is redoing them for information purposes rather than image taste then we should include the epoch as well.

Ideas or questions?

The efforts here are terrific. A very good idea and despite any inaccuracies, I am pleased to see this energy being into this game and then shared for everyone.

Jayis, your in DC can you get us a great shoot of the pentagon and the National Catedral - maybe from some tourist mags?

Oh yeah, for other wonders, some of the Smithsonian books got killer shoots of many displays as well!

Sure, I will join in with the "Wonder Team"!!!

BTW, I am still looking for more dam shots, but that one is the best one so far!!! Is there a way to get rid of the white numbers on the bottom left side of the photos?

Also, I like the idea of using the WTC for the trading center.

And...I use MSN IM, but if you guys ICQ, then I can see what I can do!!!

I am still looking for more photos...I think I have some great nuclear explosions that might be interesting!!!

If you guys think some are to big or to blury, just tell me, I will find another size for that photo!!!

Oh, I also have some dramatic photos from below the Hoover dam, on the river looking up at it, but that is in regular film also. I will also be finding shots that are either morning or evening, because those are much more dramatic!!!

BTW, there was no 320 x 320 photos, only ones that were somewhat close to that size!!!

Java, the new Hoover Dam and Pyramids images both rock. I vote we use them!

Regarding the image size, as long as the dimensions are the same we can use just about any size larger than 320x320. For example if the images size it 1024 x 1024, it is useable.

In addition, if the dimensions are rectangle as long as the area we want to use is square and it is large enough it is also sufficient.

By the way, welcome to the wonder team!

Here's another one, for pentagon. Again, I modified it, but this time to have the pentagon it self stand out a bit more.

Both of these are in quality-reduced jpg format but I have both in pcx too.

I liked the new age tab on the wonder info screen

images.google.com is a good site. Another really good site whith high quality pictures (some by professionals) can be found at www.webshots.com. Their search engine is for their site only, but they have the dramatic along with the artsy.

That is good, but you should most likely join up with us. Because we are updating Che's wonder add on to have better photos for the wonder pics. We are looking for the dramatic photos. So, you can help us out if you want, but that is our major intent, and then we plan on releasing it with the new photos and the updated info for each wonder!!!

SilentBob, I know where to find the photos, but I will check out the webshots.com. Also, could you find a more high quality phot of that, it doesn't look that great at the moment, since we are looking for very dramatic photos for the wonders!!!
