it doesnt work i'm afraid. i copied all of the stuff into wondersplash and overwrote all the stuff, but when a wonder is completed it says: "civ3 has performed an illegal error, please restart" blaa blaa and goes to desktop
i am using civ3 patch 1.16f

its a shame, your mod seems so cool

Dude - You should try reinstalling and checking to be sure you are not at fault instead of mod or program. No offense but i have been using this mod since he released it. I "LOVE IT" aside from a minor typo or two it provides me with exact info that I was getting real tired of looking up.
One more note, get rid of the patch and you will have less crashes. The game has problems without the patch but is playable with some of the mods that are out (Like Korn's excellent Blitz mod). I play on HUGH maps with only 8 civs. I have yet to finish one game without a crash occuring. I am now trying another one without the patch using Korn's blitz mod. Patch crashed 4 games in a row on me when entering either the industrial ages or modern. Last game I thought the problem disappeared just posted a message about it. Went back to my game played the next round bringing me into the Modern ages, "Fatal crash" right after I picked my next research criteria.
THANK the game gods for these people that take the time to make the mods for civ 3. I think I would shelf the game till (IF) Firaxis fires the current programmers and gets someone to fix the game!
I am playing game #51 without getting past 1905 in any game. At least without the patch I can get past the industrial ages into the modern era. I stopped playing the 1905 game because a pikemen destroyed a tank on me, and a caravel almost took out a battleship!

Umm I've only just walked into this thread..

I love the idea of information at the bottom of the wonder picture and i'm looking forward to seeing the new pic's.

However would it be possible to show the era at the bottom of the picture as opposed to at the top of the info box, as it kinda juts out into the picture and just steals more space... the image below gives you an idea what I mean...

As you can see, graphics design is not exactly my forté! But you get the idea.

Hey guys,

I had worked on the Balancer mod with Monkspider a while back. I'm trying to get it restarted. I glanced over this thread, as reading everything would have been a little, well, tiring.

I had made some pictures for the wonders we created for the Balancer Mod. I am willing to share them if you want. You can use them as is or modify them. At least the ones I used for it.

We had the Statue of Liberty (A Democracy Only Wonder)
A Dinosaur Park...yeah, I know really Jurassic Park-like
Hagia Sophia (A Monarchy Only Wonder)
School of Socrates
Carnegie's Steel Trust
Einstein's Lab

I'm sure Monkspider wouldn't mind sharing, either. I figured I will wait and see if anyone is even interested in any before wasting the resources to post them. Let me know.

Okay, well I took most of the nice images I saw and made them into 320x320x8-bit (optimized). I hope you guys don't mind. Sadly the zip file is a bit more than 500KB, so I can't post it. I'll post some screenies of some of them, though. If anyone wants the zip file, let me know and I'll email you.

I am sure some of you have probably already done this, but I was board.

The ones I have edited are as follows:

Apollo
Battlefield Med
Dam
East India
Forbidden City
Great Wall
SETI
Stock Exchange
And the pyramids:

At long last.... the templates Avatar Enlargement: We've got the solution

Mizaq and DarkAngel,

I know you've waited for freggin' ever for this... and I apologize profusely.

Mizaq knows that I changed systems (I'm on a laptop now) and needed to restore my stuff...

Well, thank Heavens it worked!!!!!!

So, with no further ado... the Photoshop 5.5 template.

you can find it at this address:

www.dialisdn.net/user/adisciascio/c...dertemplate.zip

The zip file contains 3 files, a photoshop action and two PSD files. I believe the one I actually ended up using is the one labeled "BLABLABLAFINAL.PSD" but for some reason the version of the action I was able to retrieve is set up to load the other one.

Feel free to modify the action, or make your own using that one as a model.

If you open the action and look at the first "OPEN" statement you'll see it expects to find the PSD file in the standard location for the wondersplash files.

If you prefer to have a *working* directory, something, incidentally that I would wholeheartedly reccomend, then go ahead and create one and fully modify the action.

I hope this helps.

Please email me to let me know if this was what you were expecting.

For wahtever reason it seems that apolyton only notifies me of replies to the thread when it feels like it.... weird!

Alessandro
