About "uptight" being punishble by death - it's a mere provocation and taking my words out of context.
It's not elegant, smart or true.
I didn't say that Irgun weren't terrorists.
They performed acts of terror and acts of partisanism (assassinating Military men).
However their terrorism was slightly different.
To the best of my knowledge, Irgun had warned about the bomb, IIRC 1 hour to 30 minutes before it blew up.
This proves that the hotel bomb was meant to shock, rather than kill civilians.
This is the difference between that and Hamas.
Hamas would have been comparable had they only acted in occupied areas, blew up only palces symbolical to Israeli occupation, targeted representatives of Israeli power.
But they target innocent population - civilians, often kids. They put metal nails and small metal balls inside the explosives so that they fly around like bullets and kill people. This has laready taken many victims.
They mean to kill and injure - not shock.
You probably think that makes you very "Fair".
I have some doubts because of certain phrases in the text. I also doubt that as the text claims seniour Jewish bodies knew of the terract and approved it, as they if not for the care for the innocent, would stop it because it would give Israel a bad image.
Furthermore, the "extremely pro Israeli page" isn't that extreme.
I browsed in hope to see something that say "justifies" the terract or something, and haven't found it.
What I found was propaganda about the Brittish occupational mandate. I haven't looked closely, but I spotted no lies, nor taking out of context.
Therefore I don't know how can it be considered "extreme".
Maybe it's another part of the site. I admit I only looked at 1919-1948 era, and briefly so.
Extreme according to my definition is distorting truth with untruths or omitting facts. This is the basis of Palestinian propoganda.
Palestinian spokesmen on CNN lie about "periods of calm" when infact Israelis get killed.
Palestinain spokesmen tell about "Israel targeting Arafat" when infact they don't.
Palestinian spokesmen tell about "seeing tanks" and a second later "it's all so dark - they cut off the power" and a second later "there are flash granades".

I don't think Israeli terror reflects well at all.
However, it was mostly against either military or representative targets, and therefore in many cases can be called partisan actions. I think partisan actions are problematic,
That is HARDLY comparable to massacaring civilians like sheep, in places far away from the battle, when they least expect it.
And that's Jihad, Hamas, PFLP.
Did you know that PFLP planned to stuff bombs in teddy bears and disperse them around kindergartens, malls and synagogoues?
Did you know they planted a bomb which luckaly went off to soon in the gates of a school?
Did you know their bomber went and stood next to kids on a bus station?
