The thought did occurr to me several turns ago but I figured that would tick you off more than the project is worth to me. So my probes went exploring instead of directly at Marr. Your question did make me take a closer look at Marr and I see he now has 3 techs I do not. So some probes have been redirected since he does appear to be a worthwhile target.

I got so wrapped up in that train of thought that I pulled a crawler into Denver so I could rush the project next turn. Space barred the movement, THEN remembered that I didn't yet have AE either and couldn't both get it next turn AND upgrade the crawler. *sigh* Two minerals lost...maybe a turn with them. |
Ah since you need both cash and tech to both get AE and have enough cash for the upgrade. Don't fret, I decided a bunch of turns ago that it was not worth it to even try to grab the PEG from you.

perhaps real life stuff is getting in the way. Archaic was very fast for a long time .

-- of my 11 current games, I have people away for multiple days in about 4 and unexplained long delays in 2 more-- getting a turn every day or every other day in this one is better than most . . . qantaga and I are in a couple of duels as well. So I am averaging about 1-2 turns per day
But I think that it is all to be expected . . .Real life stuff is totally understandable -- delays of several days from an otherwise reliable player is acceptable and also understood-- the only stuff that irritates me is delays from misfires where people don't check in or games where people just always seem to take 3 days to turn the thing around

Complete agreement. Check out Alien Waterworld, for example. I'm oh so close to withdrawing, so I can open up a 'slot' on my card.

condolences-- I looked through it a little-- In that game you have played for 19 fewer days and are 50 years ( 200 game turns) behind the BE pace.
BE has been pretty good compared to that situation . . . in fact BE has been pretty good period

The people of Great Clustering welcome the university sailors to their town . Although the visit was unscheduled, the Hive nation is always prepared to offer hospitality and shore leave to citizens of friendly nations.
--------------------------------------------------------------------
At the dock
" yes, it is great to have some visitors . . . it should help the economy of the town, but the only thing is . . . . they don't seem to be willing to pay the daily docking fee to the harbour authority"
" ahh, visitors are so infrequent and these just aren't some guys out on a private yatch. They are representatives from another nation, another navy."
" You are right, but I will have to seek higher approval beofre I can order the waiver of any user fees."

I have some aliens knocking at my door. I detected numerous ships between australia and China and have now found alien ground troops in India. Operation insecticide is commencing. A task force will sanitize the area for the good of humanity.

Hmmm. Any sign of corrupted human collaboration? Any cultists, for example?

No cultists in India that I have seen but i did see one cult unit moving north through Africa ( in the vicinity just south of where Egypt would be)

Well there are cultists in Africa IIRC (its the believers in South America right??). I have spotted a couple of hostile bases but they are well down into the southern part of Africa. I'll try to remember to send you some of the coordinates in the commlinks

No usurper bases that I have spotted yet. I did kill 3 usurper impact rovers down Korea way though.
