my answer belongs in the mulitplayer strategy guide... BUT I think you spend money on a couple of things... Firstly You always BUY the granary JUST before the city grows in size (the turn before) and I buy markets and banks when trade is up to those cities...

A Brief History of Face of Earth

Face of Earth actually started out as a four player game. The Hebrews were actually conquered by the Germans (Aeroprinz).

The Mayans lead by their former leader, Alesia, set off a bloody war with the Americans by converting a city and refusing to pay compensation. Alesia offered a two Trojan Horse peace proposals to end the conflict. The first proposal was followed by an attack against the Americans. The second was followed by at least two Mayan SOTL visiting Davey Jones locker

We hope the new Mayan leader is wise and has the vision to see the benefits of peace between the American and the Mayan people.

The change in leadership is coming at a crucial time. The choice for the Mayans is simple: Peace or War .

The Americans will accept peace with (1) existing borders, (2) a promise of no pirating or pillaging tile improvments for 30 turns, (3) no movement of ships or other methods of transport within striking distance of each civs cities, and (4) a formal exchange of peace treaties in the diplomatic menu.

Absent agreement the Americans will continue to fight All methods fair and unfair within PBEM rules will be used against the Mayans if the fighting continues

Bird it is a superb 8 player game... a little slow at times... The one issue is that I had very poor starting land, and no diplomatic contact with anyone until 3 turns or so ago, consequently I am very low on Powergraph.. The position is going to strengthen though, as you will see from the turn.. I will send it to you- I ain't played this one, and all original players still in so u send to Paul if you like it..

I'll take a look at it.

Whether it is slow or not, dosn't matter much - 'cause that's the reason why I look for more games . Most of my other games suffers from a significant slowdown .

David42one - sorry - I did post to explain the situation... I own and run a Property Development Business... Things were going extremely badly with Staff and I had to take over a little more than I could handle, I started one game away (twos and threes) but the one I was to be in I had to withdraw from - I dropped all my PBEM games... But I guess there were people who were not informed.... It was a very difficult time for me (which is no excuse for not making sure everyone knew) and I think I was a little bit remiss in handling the situation.

Things are sorted out now - I miss PBEM very much - the problem being a game involves a commitment for many months and I may have to travel a bit... At the beginning of June a decision is going to be taken which may mean I will not be available in any shape or form for a couple of weeks every month - If that is the case it would be very unfair to start any new PBEMS that I am playing in - But what I am trying to do is get a few people started in new games that I will create maps for - for instance above I posted a link to a game that wants to start immediately - if you post on that you will have the first turn tonight.

Greetings all,
I am a fairly newbie CTP player with virtually no PBEM experience other than the basics. I am looking for a PBEM game preferably on a gigantic map with lots of civs. Combination of diplomacy, trade and military (balanced). Anyone running such a game or interested in starting one?
