Trust me, it can. Weed grows faster than trees, so you can make 4 times as much paper with weed than trees with the same amout of land. Ropes and clothes also.

In canada too! Now it's legal to smoke it if you got medical reasons......We just have to wait for "entertainment" reasons now!

I am generally in favor of legalization on the basis of not bothering anybody else. Plus consistancy is law, if cigarettes are legal why not MJ.

However, I don't know how much my neighbours were smoking on Monday, but I thought I was going to get high just from what was coming in from the hall. I don't like that smell, now that really bothered me I have never smelled cigarette smoke from anybody elses apartment.

I don't think prices would go anywhere but down, taxed or not.
Bribes, smuggling transportation, etc. takes big bucks that have to be recouped.
Quality would go up too, IMO.

I have a small problem which is that Iīm virtually allergic to tobacco, so I try to eat it instead. I baked a quite nice choklate cake for easter eve. Itīs a very weed consuming way to get high though

However Iīm thinking of buying a water-pipe or such. Christiania is only a few hours away by boat

I don't think quality can be impacted that easily... by quality of the plant as such at best, but then the sort of weed should be always the same. In my regin they sell you crap that is merely shoe cream and maybe some hash in it, and that habit would spread. Most importantly, they'd have to think of a legal age for smoking weed, and many would violate that. Just imagine even more 12-14 year olds smoking. You know they're going to start smoking earlier when it's more fun

Well, since marijuana is a NATURAL crop, and no matter how much you try to stop its production - it will still be here. So I say legalize the damned thing and tax the piss out of it (just like tobacco)! This in turn, will lesson the money needed for the "war on drugs" if marijuana is treated like tobacco or alcohol...then the governemnt could concentrate on the bad stuff (crack, heroin, coccaine, etc.). Besides, hemp could then be used to make FABULOUS textile products!

Fisrt, quality would be impacted very easily. Here in Canada weed is not legal for personnal consumption (or so they say but cops dont give a sh*t) and some people managa to grow it with a 14% THC concentration. Imagine if they could study how to grow it better like tomatoes and stuff.
Second, the legal age to drink here in Canada is 18 but a lot of kids take their first drink at 13-14, and weed too. Personnaly, the first time I smoked I was 12 and I'm about average from where I come from.
And the more you keep someone from doing something, the more he'll want to do it.

cut the bottom from a plastic 2 litre bottle, tape a plactic bag around the bottom, so you have an air tight container, then push the bag up into the bottle

then punch some pin pr1cks in silver foil and place it over the top to create a gauze, next burn the weed on the gauze and slowly pull down the bag (which sucks down all the fumes)

when your ready take the gauze from the top and with one big suck take all the fumes into your lungs.

a VERY economical way of getting very stoned

Dont like this government atitude "we want to make the cash the dealers do".
Just look at the ciggarets mafia all over europe and u know why that is not a good idea (bzw. criminals are going to make the money again )


Why weed should be legal?
Make an easy comparison weed vs. the most common drug alcohol:

Same (positive) effects:
- feeling good
- smile more
- loose shyness
well you know why u take it...

Diffrent Effects Alcohol / Weed
- getting agressive / getting relaxed
- loosing control over yourself / not really, at least not as bad as when drunk

According to a resent study its safer to drive a car stoned than with 0.5 promile or higher.

Longterm negative effects Alcohol / Weed
- destruction of brain cells / lungs damaged
- possible adictive / no physical adiction.


We have learned that weed is less dangerous than alcohol. So bevor we allow to drink alcohol we should allow to smoke weed

Even more convincing:

Pot: No overdose. If someone smokes loads and loads of pot, their intoxication caps out and they are eventually just wasting pot -- they will not die.

Booze: numerous examples from colleges around the USA of people drinking themselves to death during a party.

Marijuana should be legalized because most people that want to smoke it ARE smoking it. Supply-side drug war is a waste of taxpayer time and does little but fill up prisons with small-timers.
