Here is the "abridged" version of the COMP2B printable map. It contains only a large view of one of the major land masses (roughly 1/4 of the map) and a strategic view of the entire map in the bottom left . It works for me. I haven't seen any ideas on getting the whole map for printing... so this will do for now. See attached.

Ah, the hell with rules!! Who needs them anyway. If you have the skills in software and the ctp game, then the best man should win. The last soul standing after a no holds barred ctp deathmatch wins the 1000 pieces of beautiful cash. Just give us the map, let us tear it to shreds, and play it to the last settler, even if there are an endless supply to be summoned at command. First person to cheat in a few stacks of space fighters and drop them on the opposing settlers wins. Who needs to win, just figure out a way to crash your opponents computer and claim yourself the victor. How about this, we start the map with 250 cities each, and so many units that we couldn't possible bring another in the game without crashing the entire server.
Hehe. Sounds like fun to me.
That is why I just play for fun, (excepting the possiblility to rake in $1K , in the beginning of the game, I usually state that I am peaceful, and no cheating, and if they do cheat, or make war on me in renaisance or sometime before I am ready, who cares, I tell them they can just walk through my civilization and thanks for wasting my time. What is the point of playing a game if it isn't for fun? If they just want a victory(for what? prestige....? who cares?) and if they just go for the win, and do anything they have to to win, including cheating, yeah, great, thanks for wasting all of our time because that game was worthless. We can not safeguard against it, people are stupid and will do it no matter what. I will not waste my time checking saves just to make sure some poor insecure fool isn't doing his best to look good in a game he sucks at. Whatever. Glad I do not have to deal with it for some time. Have fun while I am gone.

I think we are agreed with the rules now, and the map. Time to finalize the player list, nothing else. Gotta get it from somehwere, will anyone compile it?
Gavrushka, I must ask you to change your mind and take part in this. You are one of the best players. As for those cheating accusations, it's not farce... it's just rubbish. Forget it. Get over it. We know noone here is cheating, except for C-Matrix who isn't here. So please play. |
I think a lot of us got very disillusioned by what appeared to be an attempt to Hijack the competition - and of course I would be delighted to be included.
I noticed that other people have asked to play, I also notice that other people have made an attempt to enforce rules - Solver is in ABSOLUTE charge of this competition - the time for debate is over - It now just remains to start a list of players, and start gaming - I think that it will be a case of playing several games at once though due to time contraints and time zone differences. Next Saturday I propose to play Quinns at 15:00 London time -
I think that certain players who have asked to play need to post to reaffirm their commitment to this competition .

Okay Solver. Thanks. We'll let you know how the map goes. But many of us have already tested the COMP2B map and it works fine. I think it is okay for the other players to start up too. There was a list published already of 13 of the players in the League. Is that the official list of players? If so, could you re-publish it? Because everyone has to play everyone else one time, I don't think it matters the order. I believe the League Players should just pair up on their own for the first round or two. What do you think Solver?
