Nevermind, Asher. You just don't seem have any will power in you right now, but hopefully later in life you'll become more mature and will be better able to accept things as they are. To accept religious folks for who we are, not for the things we believe in. And you might even be able to just take a better look at yourself and realize that you do need religion in your life, but I'm not saying that's ever going to happen; you make your own choices. And whatever choices you make, you have to live with either the good things that come from them or the consequences.
By the way, I think it's highly unlikely that you'll be ever be able to change anyone's mind about religion around here (likely the same for me), so I suggest that you pack your bags and leave these religious threads. Besides, your getting to be a problem around here, especially when you go into your "raging firestorms" and do things that you think are right (spur of the moment kind of thing), but in reality are totally against the rules and immoral. Please try not lose control of yourself. Try to be pleasant and polite. If you do so, people will like you better, regardless of what you believe in.
You know, Asher, I gotta love ya. God forbid that I don't. But I just wish you would be a lot nicer person.
Peace.

Coming from the guy who frantically smashes the "REPORT THIS POST TO MODERATORS" button whenever he feels insulted?

Oh, I've got no problems with religious folks until they start talking about what they believe in.
And should you really be one to talk about this sort of thing? You don't accept homosexuals for who you are, right?

I'm reminded of a certain quote involving a "crutch".

Just so you know, this thread is the one directed at atheists.
You're such a stunning intellectual.

Immoral, ah.
I'm a very bad person since I don't abide by your moral codes. I hope God forgives me when I slap his ass at the gates.

I'm not here for people to like me. If I wanted people to like me I'd never share my opinion on anything, that's the easiest way to go about it.

You may think you're a nice person because you're "polite" and "respectful". You're not. You're being the very typical Christian by calling people like myself immoral, telling me I need religion in my life, and basically being a righteous bigot under the facade of my "nice, friendly neighbor". I've seen it all before, and it doesn't impress me.
