I would bet on the Euro-crazies over the American ones. Red Brigades, IRA, the Basques (ETA?) - these guys are hard core and have no problems pulling the trigger. American militiamen seem to just want to sit in their shacks in the woods and not pay taxes. I don't see them having the same "will to power".
Now, if we put the Hell's Angels up against the IRA, then you would have a fight.

This pattern is best illustrated by looking at 1940, the USA has heavily devided between isolation and intervention, people like Lindberg favored isolation (he was head of "America first" a major isolationalist organization, and a true racist, but that's another kettle of fish), but after December 7, 1941, all united against the common enemy, even Lindberg helped the war effory in the south Pacific, teaching US pilots how to get the maximum range from a fuel load, for example.
Europe doesn't have this history of being united, it's history is Britain, France, Germany, Spain, Russia, ect, doing whatever was in their best interest at any given point.
It's true there has been peace for decades, but there were also US forces and Nato enforcing this peace, till Europe accepted peace.
What will happen when the US leaves for good?
This is going to happen sooner rather then later.
The USA will still be allied to like minded nations such as the UK, but what happens with the rest?
Suppose Germay decides it wants it's historical boundry of East Prussia?
Suppose Poland wants it's 1939 border from Belyorus?
What happens with places like Alscase-Lorrain, having ties to both Germany and France?
Who will stop them if the EU has no unified military, and national armies still act?
Germany, France and Poland will do what they want, condemnations and sanctions are pointless, as Iraq and Cuba show the USA all the time.
These are real questions, many Euros here spew utopian platatudes about the EU, they sound very much like the appearsers of the 1930s, they will rail impotently as the society they think is right is rolled over by force.
Being reasonable is only viable if BOTH sides are reasonable, it's dangerous folly to think that everything will be OK because it has been for a few decades.
People like Marky Mark are living in a fool's paradise.

What a great idea! I'll bet that Fox would be willing to pay big bucks for the TV rights on this contest.
We'll need to establish a battlefield for them. Some place remote would be desireable. We could perhaps use one of the US Army's testing/training grounds, or some site in the Mojave desert, Australia, the Sahara, the Sahel. We'll need to establish some rules too. Should they supply their own weapons, or should we supply them in order to make the match even? Probably we'd at least need to set limits. How about casualties and prisoners? Ther's so much to do. Someone should get right on this now.

They could call it "The Dogs of War". Rankings, ladders, commentators, I can see it all now. Old contenders (like Sendero Luminoso) looking for a new shot at the title can take on the new kids on the block (al Qaeda - down, but they swear they are not out) all for our viewing pleasure.

oh boy, the rest of your post is even funnier....Germany taking back it's border
Suppose Poland wants it's 1939 border from Belyorus?
First let them bulid a decent infrastructure, they're using 2 lane roads as 3 lanes, and they don't even know in which direction the middle lane goes

like what?
The EU is currently a bureaucratic mess, slow to act, and has very little diplomatic power. But i also belive that ultimately europe will be stronger and more effective as one entity, what's so utopian about that?

Of course it seems absurd in the current climate, people seem to have forgotten the old wars, but to a man in 1932 it seemed just as immpossible to him that war would come as it does to you.
Think about it, in 1932 Europe still controlled more then a quarter of the world, nations were coming out of the great depression, militarys had been reduced significantly, almost to nothing really (Britain had the "Ten year rule", no new equipment for ten years unless a war seemed imminent, there was naval disarmament, small standing armies, Germany for example had only 100,000 men, Britain even less discounting colonial forces), there was a league of nations to discuss problems, we even saw the hieght of naivete, the Kellog-Braind pact out-lawing war!
Think of it Mike, only 7 years later, Europe was in it's second major world war.
They were so sure it would never happen again, and it did.
There is an old saying, those who don't learn from history are doomed to repeat it.
Nationalistic fools like Marky are exactly the kind of people that end up starting this cycle.

This guy's racism shows right through, the poles don't know left from right according to him.
And you ask why we think nothing has changed?
Herr Himmler here is the perfect example.

Go back and read your own words, that brand you a fool:
"First let them bulid a decent infrastructure, they're using 2 lane roads as 3 lanes, and they don't even know in which direction the middle lane goes "
A racist remark when your proclaiming unity.
Nulifies all you had to say.

You were wrong Mikey, Sava is off the hook, we have a new winner, friend Lemmy.
