If your going for an insult, at least spell it right.
Showing your ignorence, as usual.
That isn't the US flag of today, it's the 13 star flag adapted as first offical US flag, posted to honor America on it's birthday.
quote: Don't get me started on that traitor. | Churchill the traitor.
Now I have heard everything!
quote: You see, that is the whole problem with you types - you are always trying to 'win'. Life isn't all about 'winning' you know. | Nor is it about pettily attacking the USA, but one would never know it reading your posts.
quote: You not only want America to take credit for winning the war, you want to take personal credit for something which happened before you were born! | And where did I say?
So you add a new level to your jack-assedness, your now a mindreader.
What I said was Russia would have lost, yes lost, without food, uniforms, and fuel the west provided while Soviet industry retooled from it's great exodus in 41.
It's also spot on that the empire could not possibly have defeated Germany if Russia was out of the war and you know it.
quote: I don't feel guilty about Britain's imperial past because I wasn't a part of it. | And I was around for the Indian wars?
quote: Something tells me you only count terror attacks in the US. | Name one big El Quida attack.
Anywhere.
quote: Don't you think the rest of the world is worth anything, or is any amount of US originating terror OK to inflict on other peoples as long as it keeps your beer cool of the 4th of July? | The same stupid quote I always hear, the US is a terror nation.
Your such a jack-ass Rogan.
quote: Happy to please - I feel like my day has been worth while now | I know mine has, because I know it kills you when I punch holes in that giant ego of yours.

American Girls
And American Guys
We'll always stand up and salute
We'll always recognize
When we see Old Glory flyin'
There's a lot of men dead
So we can sleep in peace at night
When we lay down our head.
My daddy served in the army
Where he lost his right eye
But he flew a flag out in our yard
Till the day that he died
He wanted my mother
My brother
My sister and me
To grow up and live happy
In the land of the free.
Now this nation that I love
Has fallen under attack
A mighty sucker punch came flyin' in
From somewhere in the back
Soon as we could see clearly
Through our big black eye
Man, we lit up your world
Like the Fourth of July.
Hey Uncle Sam put your name
At the top of his list
And the Statue of Liberty
Started shakin' her fist
And the eagle will fly
And there's gonna be hell
When you hear Mother Freedom
Start ringin' her bell
And it'll feel like the whole wide world
Is rainin' down on you
Brought to you courtesy
Of the Red, White and Blue.
Oh justice will be served
And the battle will rage
This big dog will fight
When you rattle his cage
And you'll be sorry that you messed with The U.S. of A.
'Cause we'll put a boot in your ass
It's the American way.
Hey Uncle Sam put your name
At the top of his list
And the Statue of Liberty
Started shakin' her fist
And the eagle will fly
And there's gonna be hell
When you hear Mother Freedom
Start ringin' her bell
And it'll feel like the whole wide world
Is rainin' down on you
Brought to you courtesy
Of the Red, White and Blue.
Oh, oh, of the Red, White and Blue
Oh, oh, of the Red, White and Blue.

There were about a dozen American pilots who fought in the Battle of Britain. That hardly qualified as "a good portion."

The thing I find funny about the Washington Post article is that the writer goes on and on about how the US helped Poland, but makes no mention of the fact that when Germany invaded Poland, the US remained on the sidelines.

I'll add a note of thanks to the US for what it has done to preserve democracy. The US did not win the two world wars by itself, but without its contribution, far more people would have died.
A lot of what the US did was in its own self-interest, but that's true for most nations.
The US has been an example to the rest of the world in terms of what can be achieved through democracy. While that example has been tarnished far too often by the often criminal acts of the American government, the existence of the United States has helped other countries achieve democracy. Canada achieved self-government largely as a result of what took place in the United States. The existence of a democratic government in the US forced the British to grant democracy to the Canadian provinces.
