that's also quite true. wheat flour based cakes and pastries didn't make it big in asia until the us came through (and they don't taste too good, either, not when compared to the rice flour based pastries...)

what else? hamburgers/fast food. didn't originate in the us, but sure as heck got popular there and spread around the world.

Flat bread isn't pizza. Flat bread cooked with a tomato sauce, basil, and mozarella is pizza. Since tomato sauce didn't exist until the Italians invented it in the 19th Century, you can't have had pizza until the 19th Century.

Actually, pizza was invented by the Incas thanks to the help from contact with an alien species. Not only that, but the Incans had the first pizza chain that offered delivery, in 30 minutes or less or your money back.

I don't know if anyone has discussed strange toppings combinations, but one of the best pies I ever had was a BLT pizza. Cook normal bacon pizza and top with cold lettuce and tomato and -the touchy part- mayo. I think every slice took like a month off my life expectancy, but damn was it good.

I don't eat them anymore, cut that sort of thing out of my diet.
