i myself always tech trade with everone in the beginning as soon as i am the first with new military technology ones the game is on its way i tend to withhold that but not that much in another game i know but i would speak out loud here i look out much more what i trade....but with SMAC not that mcu

I'd agree too, with the addition that certain economic technology should be restricted. It may be inevitable that everyone will learn to use boreholes, but we should get a head start on exploiting them.

Morgan should be dealt with a friendly matter. Give him a few techs that will benefit him somewhat and trade for tech that will enhance us a great deal. AS soon as we get enough military power, we demonstrate our power to him and coerce him into giving us whatever the heck we want.

TKG and I are thinking the same way, build a strong internal force first, THEN build a feasible antagonist attack force.

The police force will help keep our drones in line as well as our populace and the scouts will scan the horizons for new conquests...
