@ Sparrowhawk
Given Egypts last message, I propose that IF you need to fill in for Straybow next turn, you move the Hittite unit that has been blocking the Egyptian road for two turns now.

The demonstrations in Knossos almost turn to riots: " We want a king ... we want a king ... or at least a gracious queen*".

Thank you Sparrowhawk. Until Straybow returns and present himself, I think we might not to wait 72 hours for him. So La Fayette could send you an e-mail after each his turn.
I must spread my wonders out a little, otherwise somebody will really catch my cheating out one day.

The Assyrian Empire continues to prosper.
To the Hittites we send word that our scouts have payed a brief visit to their Capital, Hattusas. They have left the vicinity of the city, but could not yet clear the city-radius. Our Horsemen come in peace, and they have been carefull not to stay on lands that are worked by the Hittite farmers.
Traders from Nineveh have embarked on a ship for a long voyage. They hope they will be able to trade with the Greek and the Minoans. Assyria asks both nations if the traders are welcome to their shores.
Assyria congratulates Persia with their recent settlement on lake Urmia. We hope it will prosper, and bring wealth to the Persian people. Assyria looks forward to trade with this outpost, and other cities. For this purpose, an Assyrian scouting party on horseback has transpassed the Persian-Assyrian border south of Lake Urmia.
These Horsemen have strict orders not to interfere in any domestic affairs within the noble Persian Empire.
Desert tribes pay a tribute totalling 50 gold to the mighty Assyrian Empire.

Cyrus XXIX of Persia, please check your e-mail.
What about Straybow? I noticed he is MIA also in succession games. Shouldn't we try to search for a sub? I suffer if I imagine the freezed Hittite civilization.
Or isn't he allied with another civ so well so that his kingdom may be managed by the ally?

I am allied with the Hittites and ready to do my best, but IMO it would be more fun for Sparrowhawk to become the new leader of the Hittites (after a few more desperate messages sent to Straybow).

I have no problem with an ally playing the Hittite civ for a month or so.

Officials of department of Diplomacy System say most civilizations in the world can build caravans. Therefore we are releasing this declaration:
We ask all merchants, cities or governments that plan to send trade goods to one of our cities that they settle each delivery of goods with our Ministry of Trade. Each incoming caravan must ask for a license and pay a duty if license is granted.
One of reasons for this provision is that your delivered goods may block our workers and they cannot produce our own commodities for supply. Also our market specialists are prepared to help you to maximize revenues from your caravans.
Our merchants are instructed to act similarly and to ask for licenses in your cities.

If a genuine sub takes hold of Hatta, Assyria would welcome a online meeting, so that Assyria can transfer a group of Slaves to Hatta, and a full peace can be signed with both Hatta and Minos.

I don't know how fast the Hittite problem will be solved this turn, but I can play only in next approx. 12 hours, then I won't be able to play up to Wednesday.
I e-mailed SparrowHawk and asked him to read this thread: I think SparrowHawk as a sub would be the best solution.
La Fayette as a sub is not so good solution, especially because Kull posted some objections against his full control over Hittites (or did I grasp you badly, Kull?):

I don't object to an ally moving his units for a short while, or to Sparrowhawk taking a more hands-on approach in the interim (should he be willing). |
I think if LF will only move units and not to control cities etc., the white civ will suffer similarly as with Ctrl-N. Then I would suggest to post in The Official Players Needed Thread (for a provisional sub).

SparrowHawk as sub is definitely the best solution IMO.
I cross my fingers.
