That's right, Sava.

Perhaps if you didn't post blatant lies, no one would correct you, da? Consider that next time.

You didn't have a clue what you were talking about, I corrected you with the truth. I couldn't care less who the hell you insult, since you can't do it worth a damn anyway, but I do think it's wrong for you to misinform everyone because you're an ignorant ass who's high on himself.

Suffering from ads?

Okay, simmer down y'all...

Back to topic. Suppose I need an e-mail client. Just that. So I install Outlook and what do I get? Something with an Agenda, a Taskmanager and a lot more I didn't ask for. Bloatware...

I install Eudora and what do I get? an e-mail client. Nuff said methinks...

I use Outlook Express for mail and news. Does the job well and requires no extra download.

That's not the point. The point is you said Outlook is perfect. So I am asking you a few questions to see what it cannot do.

Your responses are so predictable.

First of all, we here have already established that you are an MS zombie defender. Or apologist if you prefer. So I understand your desperate need to try to label others, but so far, you are failing miserably. Billg is going to be displeased.

Secondly, without answering my questions, you made some pretty big blanket generalisations.

So, we are back to square one, waiting for your answers.

Wait wait wait -- I don't remember saying Outlook is perfect. It's not perfect, it's just the best choice for my needs from what I've seen and tried.

UR, don't you get tired of rehashing the same ****? You've made it clear you don't have a clue how to use Outlook, or even what it does, but you still called it crap. Then you have the balls to call me an "MS zombie defender"? Whatever, man, I'm sure you're such a big man in your eyes.

I've been using outlook for many years and never had it happen. Why do you suppose that is? I only open email attachments where I know what they are. I've got Outlook set so it doesn't run any scripting.

Why don't you think about things before you post them, UR? You look like a total freakin' moron as you desperately try to slam MS about a product you've clearly never used much.

I don't know if you don't think I'll notice, but I've noticed how you asked extremely general questions and then ignored most of my answers, took a couple of my general answers and then cried that I didn't answer the questions.

Here's an idea: Why don't you use Outlook for a while and figure it out for yourself? You're the one, after all, who branded it as "crap" and then clearly showed you have no idea about its features. The onus is on you to tell me what it can't do, I'm not going to sit here listing what it can do because so far it DOES do everything you've listed. You either don't believe me or you're trying to cop-out with stupid veiled insults with Sava massaging your back and cheering you on.

I'm not buying it, and I don't think you're nearly as bright about it as you think you are.

Silly Sava, you're one of those people that think "good" and "evil" are "facts".

I love your types usually, except when they become one-trick ponies as you have...then they become depressingly pathetic.

MS is evil because it's #1. MS bundles an internet browser for free -- they're called evil bastards. MS bundles MSN Messenger for free -- they're called evil bastards. MS enforces 1 license to 1 computer -- they're called evil bastards.

I hope some day that you, and to a lesser extent the Linux zealots, grow up and realize what a business is. A public business is about making money for its shareholders, and that's what MS does.

You can call their business practices evil (since you clearly know so much about business!), but that's opinion and not fact.

Because someone up top clued in the whole reason the anti-trust case existed was because certain competitors spent millions lobbying and paying the government to persue MS. They wanted MS' hands tied behind their back so the competitors could take over.

AOL cries and cries about how MS bundling IE destroyed Netscape -- at the same time they keep producing Netscape AND bundling lots of its own products with it and its ISP service. Huh?? What a joke.

The whole anti-trust thing is a joke, which is why no one hears anything about it anymore.

It certainly didn't happen because MS spent millions to get the government to forget all about the antitrust case. MS would never do such a thing; it was all an evil conspiracy by AOL, Sun, and Netscape. May Bill Gates bathe us in his blessed light for all eternity...

Put an end to popups!

Drake...don't start with me. People who actually have been here in debates with me know that I tell people that MS lobbies like hell now.

Prior to the anti-trust case, MS was apolitical corporation-wise. They never lobbied. Now they spend millions a year lobbying, because their competitors did the same and got an anti-trust case brought up against MS accordingly.

Come on Drake, misrepresent my position some more. You know it's all you have.

The resolution of the antitrust case had nothing to do with "someone up top" realizing that Microsoft was being unfairly targeted. It had everything to do with Microsoft's huge amount of political donations...

Bush was always opposed to the antitrust case, Drake, long before he was in office.

But do go on, I find it fascinating. How much money did MS donate? You've obviously seen a figure, since you claim it's "huge"?

http://www.cnn.com/2000/ALLPOLITICS...tics/index.html

quote:
According to the Center for Responsive Politics, Microsoft has contributed $1.1 million dollars in soft money to both major political parties this cycle -- $529,000 to the Democrats, and $607,000 to Republicans.

The software giant gave another $700,000 to individual candidates -- and it is those numbers that tell the story behind the company's newfound political activism.

Over a million dollars in contributions counts as huge to me. Have any other great ideas on how to change the subject, hotshot?

$1.1M is huge?!

LOL!

Christ Drake. Bush has been opposed to it LONG before he was in office, as have most republicans. It was the democrats who bought into lobbying of Sun, Netscape, Sony, etc and brought up the antitrust case under the veil of helping the consumer when all they were doing was helping the competition unfairly.

Bush is against that sort of thing on principle, being a fan of big business and all. But do tell me how you can equate how Bush put an end to it because he got a HUGE $607,000 payment.

Pretty much. If you don't see how $607,000 plus all of the individual contributions Bush got is a significant amount, then I don't know what to say. I don't know how to discuss issues with someone as blinded by fanboyism as you...
