Please make sure you don't have any links to your homepage, or it will be found with google. If needed, adjust your page to be called "rotzooi.html" or something, as index.html pages are sometimes linked from within the provider (I don't know how telenet does this).

Come to think of this: I'm going to google for any of the other teams, who knows if they left their websites open (Hey, before any complaints arise: this is honorable spy-business, no cheating! I'm a diplomat after all)

I haven't been able to find any additional home pages yet, nor yours Alva, so I guess we're ok for now. However I'll be monitoring them from time to timr to see if none of the teams have security holes we can exploit. If we woud find them, I suggest that we first spider the site, and then sell that information back to the team who has a security hole, it should definately be worth a city, or some techs

Alva, I can't imagine anyone too stupid that they will use a web page that has been mentioned on the general forum, that's just too obvious. But then again, if they do, it will be found by google, I've seen numerous links to threads in the general forum already. Of course, google isn't a sure proof way you find everything, as you need to have certain assumptions (like for instance mentioning 'Lux Invicta' somewhere on the page), but we will get far with it.

Renaming: I don't think this is necessarily an option in whatever tool telenet uses to upload your page, but that's not really needed either: if you just upload rotzooi.html, and don't link from within your index.html to it, it will never be found by google. This is used a lot to avoid semi-private pages to be found on the Internet, although not everyone is aware of it. But then again, most people aren't aware of the powers of google either, try searching on your own (real life) name and you can be surprised what you will find...

At least you didn't made your homepage known to 'poly when you registered

If anyone would know your real name, or know your computer name, it could be dangerous, so I certainly advise changing index.html into something less obvious. And leave an index there with your cats (poep? ) to fool the others

Something is (very) wrong with the game.

When I loaded it, it first brought me to Sir Ralph's game (nice spot by the way), after asking for my password. Than it went to my game, but all the production stuff was at reduced cost (accel. production?), than when I ended my turn I just gave me another and another.

Well, accelerated production was on for me from turn 2 on. I thought NYE set this up and didn't pay further attention. Why you came to open my game instead of yours, I don't know. Strange.

You can get to your turn, yes? When you click on the end turn oval it prompts you to either sav or play on, yes?

Save it.

Also, is it possible you loaded it as a normal game? Through load game? It is best load by selecting Host, PBEM, Load Game.

If the player before Randolph has normally saved the game before end of his turn instead of using the "exit & save" option what comes when you press end turn, this may have caused the problem.

But how come the game still accepted Randolphs password even it went to Sir Ralphs game, that is strange, unless they have same passwords (chanses of that very low ) or if Sir Ralph has left password empty in the beginning.

BTW is the accelerated production supposed to be on or not ? If some of us have it, some not, and Sir Ralph suddenly got it in turn 2 if i understood his post correctly.

I think I may have caused that. One of the very few options you can change in an MP game when loading is Accelerated production. Between various games, I may heve turned it on, but I do not recall doing that.

Important When you load the game, do not play with the setting buttons. Just launch. If after you load, accelerated is turned ON, please turn it OFF.

Not a big deal to this point. A couple of players have had an advantage. I think we can continue. If we do not come unstuck before I get home, I will resend my turn. Sound good?
