Bad news for me: my GFX card went up in smoke few hours back , when i was just testing the new patch. Patch seemed to work ok, but my GFX card did come to the end of its way (hm maybe i shouldnt have slowed down that fan rpm on the card so much..)

Unfortunately i didnt play my turn before the accident and i am now unable to play any games until at least 4. dec. That is the date i'm supposed to be delivered a new graphics card. Notice the word "supposed".

I have now old pci 4 mb 2d card as replacement which does not run any games Even surfing is pain. So in the mean time if someone other from our team who has PTW could play my turns until i get the new GFX card.

If such a person is found, PM me and i'll send the game.
On the other hand, i may not be around very much since its really painful even to surf with this old card, so i'll mail the save file to Notyoueither too, so you can PM him too and ask for the save.
NYE can play the turns himself too if no such replacement person is found. Password is "logitech123" (easy to remember, huh )

Incase anyone wonders the plentiful scouts in my game, i was going for Aeson's "build lot of scouts" tactic so anyone playing my game can continue that strategy if it pleases him/her.

If no one steps forward by later tomorrow, I will play Conq's position til he returns or someone comes forward.

That way I would at least have 1 city.

I do not mind playing Conqueror's position. Since I'm right before him it would probably be quicker if I was the one who took his place temporarily. That way there can be two turns done right after the other immediately and then passed on, since I would do my turn and then his at the same time.

Unless NYE you really want that first city bad...

Give me a couple extra hours today, my brother who is a pilot for the AirForce over in Afghanistan was supposed to come in yesterday for Thanksgiving, but ended up being late so we're having it today. So between 1:30 and probably 3:30 I won't be available, although as soon as I get home I will send the saves asap.

Thank you nye. It was very good. My Air Force brother had a slide show of digital pics that he presented to our family, showing us his time in Afghanistan, Pakistan, Bahrain, really really cool stuff. Maybe I'll post some pics sometime if anyone might be interested in seeing some overseas action.

So, to clear things up a bit, I sent the turn to Conqueror a day ago or so. Since he's dropped out for a week I'll just go ahead and continue from that file that I sent him, then send it off to Sir Ralph.

You can join Vox Controli's IRC channel under a false identity. Log into the IRC server with your favorite client and type:
/join #VoxControli -k $
-k = key (channel locked with a password, $ = their extremely hard-to-guess password.
Edit: scratch that, they've changed the password.

Btw, shouldn't we take the screenshot of our starting location off that website and post it in a thread instead? This would be much more secure.

OH and one more thing. When I go to my multiplayer window, there is NOTHING at all that gives me the option to load the game or anything, ie the instructions you gave nye at the beginning I have never been able to do, so I think I'm the reason we have accelerated production on. Even after you re-explained it, I searched and searched every screen and there is absolutely nothing that enables me to load a game file from Multiplayer. Nothing.

A. Click on Multiplayer. [Near bottom of Main PTW screen.]

New Screen. PTW MP Window.
1. Change Location to Local Game. [Midway down the list in PTW MP window. It says, 'Internet' or "Local Game'. If it says Internet, change it.]
2. Click on Host. [Top of the list.]

New Screen. MP Setup Window.
3. Select PBEM. [First option box. Last option (I think).]
4. Click Load. [Second option box. Last option.]

These are the option boxes running down the left hand side of the Window.

Does that help?

Note. I will check later to ensure I have the right spellings and complete labels for these buttons.
