Hmmm. OK. I must have set it to accelerated right off. Does anyone still have their turn 1? Can you verify that?

As for the bad game, let us know what happens on your turns. I have just resent 3850 to Mesh. I included some instructions for loading PBEM games. I'm not sure if they will solve the problem or not, or if they differ from what anyone is doing. In the version I emailed to Mesh, I missed one thing. Here they are again...

When I loaded it went to Ralph's game with a worker highlighted (ready to move). I did something (I don't quite remember what, but it wasn't ending the turn, maybe opened the main menu) and his turn ended. My turn then started with accel production on (I assume, I've actually never played with it, some time I should try it, but that's another story). I then played and ended my turn, then it went to my next turn (like it would in SP) without bring up the "save and exit" box that it has the other two times. I think I played 2 or 3 turn, before deciding something was very wrong.

Got the 3850BC save again. Accelerated production is on, and I have no option to turn it off. It was not turned on in the first turn, I know this for certain, because I had made some deep build queue calculations in turn 1 and had to remake all in turn 2 due to the accelerated production suddenly coming up.

I'll send now the save with an identical move to Randolph, but I don't see any difference to the turn yesterday.

would this not mean that everyone is on accelerated production the rest of the game? That's not necessarily bad, especially since we wanted to have a relatively quick game....

But then again, if the files are corrupt or if some kind of bug is coming out, then we should try to straighten it out as best we can...

I'm here too, altough the access to apolyton boards required ~15 minutes of reloading, my ISP really does not like apolyton today

But: even i may be unable to read this the whole time, i'll keep my e-mail open (that is working fine, thank god), and have auto-check & alarm noise on, so i'll notice when the game circulates to me

Just hoping that everyone will make it here so we can bounce the game around for some turns.

Sir Ralph, it sounds like either he sent you a sav not from the end of his turn, or you loaded as an SP game.

Nope. It was correctly opened and saved. Now i got Sir Ralphs mail stating that game was bugged and sent it again to him.

This is very strange, i am currently involved with 4 other PBEM games (one has already reached almost 1000 bc) and none of these problems have been present in those games.

Maybe the game got somehow bugged back in turn 2 when AP went on and does not recover from that. Or maybe it is AP that is messing the game, since we have not AP enabled in any of the other PBEM's that i'm involved.

Once you figure out what's wrong here you should make sure the other team captain's are aware of it.

if this happens in the DemoGame it would be a major bummer (perhaps a good reason to limit access to the save file - it only take one person to accidently load up the save the wrong way and the secrecy of the game is compromised.)

BTW NYE: I have no option to load the game "in MP mode". All I can do is to hit "Load Game" in the start screen. What you described above (Host, PBEM, Load game) is missing in my game version (1.04f). Are you sure you don't talk about some "advanced" version here?

No, SR. I am playing the PBEM on a second computer with 1.04.

Darn! You have to change Location from Internet to Local first. I missed that since that computer has been set to local for some time.
