I think I can provide some color without giving away too many state secrets.

The Zulu are actually not a bad civ for a human to play. The "secret" is in the power of the impi to cover horse rushes without slowing them down. Here comes a stack of 5 impi and 10 horses -- how do you feel about that

I fact, I'm sorry you guys are not here I'm about to get pounced upon from all sides in some games and this start was strategically really nice.

We are apparently at the north end of a rather large land mass. I have not gone far enough north to prove that yet, but the minimap suggests it is so.

The start included ample horse resources, rivers, a lux, and a decent way to expand in major directions. The Japs and Vikes are located to the south.

The game will therefore be like a normal AI game for awhile. I'm busy hording the gold necessary to ally with the Vikes and attack the middle-placed Japanese for my first haul of extorted tech. This will likely be the strat followed unless the far north shows a connection to one of you is possible.

Hut popping has not been very lucrative.
