I'm sorry sir, I was to mixed up with business proposals. I'm not sure what particular spirit drink you want? Ghost in the Bottle, El Spirito or some other brand?

Odd, that. I was just bending over to sit down at this bench when a small decapitated head suddenly arose mournfully out of my sherry and told me, in a sad voice told me that in a couple of moments something very tragic would occur, and that I should duck.

I did as the ghost asked, and all of the sudden, a cow smashed through one of the nearby windows from the roof of the adjacent building (for what reason the animal was on that roof, I cannot say), and whipped over my head by an inch. Mournfully, I noticed that the bowl of sherry had been smashed. The ghost had been right. Tragedy had struck.

The spirits in these spirits do tell us things we need to hear. I think we all need another drink.

Do you have a seed from it? I would like to examine it and see what the spirits have to say about it.

Hmm, I think that's a reasonable deal. And yes, p*ss warm chango does make pot three and head hurt, but if you put enough effort into it (i.e. drink enough) it makes head hurt so much you won't notice it anymore and so enjoy the drink better. Keep ordering those p*ss warm changos guys!

I don't believe a word you say; only kids think you can tell the spirits' thoughts by examining seeds. Everyone knows you have to examine the testicles of a bull to communicate with the spirits. Buying some expensive alcoholic beverage will help too - it is rumoured that the Iberian Delight is built on the remains of a villa owned by a spirit. So keep on buying liquor for your own sake!

I'll have another glass of p*ss warm chango (BTW, I got that from the Steve Buscemi-Cheech Marin exchange in Desperado).

Now, with all due respect to Senior Calamari's squid, I am about due to harvest my cactus crop, and they are a true delicacy... even if I do say so myself. I would gladly supply you with a case of said cacti in exchange for one bottomless pitcher of chango. What do you say?

I seem to be overwhelmed by businessmen these days. I am sorry, but my stock is full at the moment, since Calamari has been supplying me generously with his squids. However, if people spontaneously rise up from their tables and start shouting (posting a reply) that they want cacti, maybe I will remove some squids in favour of your cacti .

It doesn't look like the people want their cacti...how very very sad, indeed...guess you'll have to have more squid...fried squid...in red sauce...with tomatoes...and basil...and garlic...

And hey! I'm a new King! So, I'm buying the drinks for everyone, and we all get some of my fried squid! I'll cook! Santiago!

this is not a competition, I have tried the squid myself and thought they were wonderful. No one is saying, "Get rid of the squid!"

But nothing beats a tavern with 1 food to nibble on like a tavern with 2. Granted cactus is an acquired taste (boiled leather comes to mind, mmm ) but the hallucinogenic properties of a good cactus steak will make you think you are eating something else anyway. Leave the needles in there if you want a real suprise going down. Think about the possibilities... the lawsuits --its beautiful!

Besides, I only want to see what the spirits have to say about seeds, not see what the have to say using the seeds.

Of course...if we do strike down the blasphemer, we'll loose the best (and only) tavern in Spain, and the best newspaper in Spain, and some of the best prices on squids. Let's quietly forget about all of this, OK? High Priest, if you'd like to ignore this incident, we'd be pleased to give you a...life-time supply of fried calamari. Yes, that'd do, right? Right?!

I am truly sorry. I should not have blaphemized (is that a word?). It must have been the cacti; they make me a bit dizzy and irrational. This could be a very lucrative business, selling cacti to my customers. I'm not sure what the laws on narcotics are, but I would truly be happy to add cacti to my menu. el_ruby_maser, I think we can work out a deal here.

I will, of course, let the squids remain on top of my menu. I would anger my customers and thus endanger my profits if squids would be harder to get...

What do you have to drink here? I think Cactus Juice can be very tasty (of course, use a strainer when you pour it, damn needles can ruin a good buzz).

How about squid sauteed in cactus juice, or visa versa. Very tasty, as far as you know.

I would like to buy everyone a round of p*ss-warm chango in memory of Gastronome Neecap Sr.

As to the nature of his untimely demise, I have no comment at this time, and my lawyers are advising me to avoid interviews with the press.

I would, however, like to recommend that everyone try the cactus; according to Senior Calamari, it was a favorite of our belated friend
