Sir, I mean no insult, and personally I am very much shocked that you taketh insult so easily. I'd have expected different from a true Celt, sir. There was no insult given to your brother, and such a quick temper does not reward one easily among the wild areas of the world, such as the Iberian Tavern.
I thought the Celtic drawl to be the most beautiful voice in the world, and it reminded me of a great uncle who had just such a voice, and a well clipped Celtic moustache to boot. The swagger, I had heard, was due to an injury in battle most severe that it affected his walking, so that he could only walk in a strut, making himself look all the more impressive.
If you take that as an insult, than I see no point in it. However, I do not feel the duel. The battle between two men is a good way to fall. I meant no insult, but if you take it as one, I must defend my honor, sir. Please consider what you do.

This is understandable. I do not always make myself clear, I am sorry to say. Slow of tongue, they said, when I was young. Indeed, I spoke so little that my father had to get out two more sons just to hold conversation.
A thane lord, was he? And so he is now, and thus we all are, tribal thane lords, that is.
The squid business is wonderful. One has to have a love of the sea to do so, and has to be weary of the sea's defenses (i.e. the ghost ships and the kraken), but otherwise it is very good going. My grandfather fought a kraken once, brought it down, riding it to the beaches from the sea, and killing it when it was terrorizing the sea shore of Spain. That's how he became a hero. And so, you see, the sea is in my veins. Come down to my dock tomorrow and I'll take you aboard the squiding boat, and we'll hunt.

* Enters the tavern. The room is in the darkness. No one there. Some food is still on the tables. Food that seems at least a few centuries old.
Anyone here?
* Walks slowly inside but no one answers. Gets a candle and lights it. Looks around and sees his steps are the first in many many years. Spends a few hours carefully registering all the tavern, but nothing can give him a clue of what happened here. Leaves the building with an unpleasant feeling in his mind.

Try some of this 300 year old stew, it appears to be vegetarian but they have discounted the price.
What's that you say? There aren't any vegetables in it? Then what is all this green stuff?

*Enters the room*
*Cough. cough*
´´Ah, this is a*cough* mess!´´
´´Ferdinando! Felipo!Clear this room!´´
*two servants enter the room, looking pretty much scared*
´´Ah!There you are, you heard me, start cleaning! And go downstairs and check if there is something left on the storage, Felipo!"
´´Señor, es mui escuro, & tambien mui peligroso aqui``
´´I don´t care if it is dark or dangerous here! Go downstairs and clean it! And don´t act as if you had seen a ghost! In this age of thinkers and wise-men, it is an abuse you still believe in the tales of F-PRO´s ghost! In fact Señor F-Pro would be very proud of this were his ghost really here´´
´´Si señor´´
´´And be quick, I want this back into work soon! I willexpand this into a larger area, and make of this a tribute to what it was in the early days!´´

It will be interesting to see the Tavern open again. It is said that my uncle Eduardì Pikesfan only went to the Tavern once in his life, and that was because Aunt Marìa happened to be out of town.

*brings the ale*
Hey, here you are, senor.
I am sorry I have to greet you in such a dusty and noisy room. As you see, I am rebuilding most of the place in stone, and the upper area´s floor was totally eaten by those pesky termites!
Well, it will be 5 bones .
*whipes the dust off the table*
yeah, I don´t like those bones either, but I heard some guy talking about building standard weight gold shields, small ones, and using them instead of bones... go figure!
Well, have a good day.
Nuclearis WInterius the II, temporary barkeeper.

* drinks a bit of ale
Standard weight shields? For the spirits! That would be a good idea! I'm tired of having to take my money slaves with me when I'm going to the market. Having the weight all the gold and silver is really annoying!

´´Si Señor PIkesfan!
Haha the first drink here eh?
El Vino del Puerto, or Vinho do Porto in the dialect they speak in that region, is a very special vine, almost like a Liquor. nono, you don´t drink a glass full of it! It would get you drunk. You see, this strong tasting drink is to be appreciated slowly, not in one....
Oh my! you drunk the whole cup!
*watching as pikesfan colapses(!)*
Oh no... what will I tell to his aunt now? Someone bring cold water please!´´
´´I am sorry I am not able to visit your father´s house in Saragossa, Aidun the younger, but I am full of job now with ambassdorship at VOx, governorship and this Taberna.´´
´´Ah, this is to all of you, the TAberna will be reopened at full speed in one week counting from today, so prepare for the opening feast!´´

Hallo, chaps.
Well, I'll have the Saragossa Fried Squid, and some Vino.
Anyone here know the way to Pamplona? My dog ate the map, blast him. Fortunately, I had a second, but Gastronome Neecap, my servant, accidentally used it for bedding in the parakeet cage. I need to be there by next week, you see, for the annual meeting for sales tactics on Top Secret Squid Plans.

*As a great bronze bell rings, calling for party, Old Nuclearis the II unveals a giant sign carved in wood, reading:*
IBERIAN DELIGHT,
since 4000 b.c
*The new door opens silently, in contrast to the blasphemously noisy sound it did in it´s old days. One not very alcoholized can notice at the first glance that the old room is no more. This new one is large, with a new, clean floor, without pieces of broken bottles scattered around. There are many chairs, and a special Tavole, with the chairs for the Thane Lords and High priests, and , of course, a higher, stronger chair at the middle of the table, all handcarved with scenes of horses, warriors, battles and kings, that is the throne of the High Lord of Earth. To his right, sits Nuclearis Winterius the II, and to his left His grace´s most trusted advisor, having to their right and left other thane lords. In front of The Lord are all the Priests and High Priests.
There are lots of good-smelling, good-looking dishes all around, and lots of tables for common people, even though far from this main table. A good smell of bread and meat keeps coming from the kitchen, and the serving maids keep bringing vine to the tables. The sun lightens the room very nicely through the new windows, contrasting with the old Taberna, were even at day the lamps would be lit. There are some very beautifull, though simple, silver candlebres put aside at the balcony:*
´´Yes, today it shall be a great party, and even as it begins at the morning, this party was done so that we can party from now up to night and tomorrow, so I shall use those candlebres today!!!(Yeah, I know... old coot! )
